welly welly welly my little Droogies! welly well well! hope this post finds you all well! i have had an amazing month since I last posted on ere! let me see....the first and most important thing being that my band played a killer show at the Greyhound hotel in St Kilda! We supported a local band called the Skybombers, who were fantastic...but we were far more rockingly superior!! (in my opinion) anyway..heres a picture of me and the singer rockin out at our gig..



Also, I;ve now booked myself in for the next onslaught of tattooing....I CANNOT WAIT!! Decided to go with the cobra on my forearm and the tiger on my upper arm....Matt at Dynamic did a real rough outline on my arm and already I can tell its gonna be fucking awesome...unfortunatley I gotta wait until February next year...damn....hurry up NEXT YEAR!!!

In other news....got to see Seal for free....it was pretty gay..."Crazy" was by far the best song and he sang really welll...just not my cup of tea really....i thoroughly enjoyed it but i wouldn't have paid $130-$160.00 dollars for it. But the guy who got us the free tickets was actually the support act. He was sensational (as usual) and we got to hang out back-stage with him after the show...NO we didnt get to meet Seal...i guess that would've been cool but who cares...we got to got the concert for free!!

um...and thats about it...breifly we're gearing up for Christmas at work so thats going to be getting hectic soon....
and...oh its Spring down here in Melbourne...but its been unseasonably hot! today was 35c degrees so for Spring that is really hot....what else?...SHOCKED won the Melbourne Cup...dont really give a fuck about Horse racing,..personally i think its pretty cruel and useless...but anyway we get a public holiday so thats okay i guess....
and thats about it for now...

I have nothing exciting to report this time. work is the same...my life is the same...although i did have a cool weekend...i went and saw a band called Shihad...they are a New Zealand band (well..i think they're unofficially Australian now) but they were pretty rad. you can check them out here if you're at all interested: http://www.shihad.com/ ....they're by no means what i would classify as an awesome band but they put on a fucken good live show. i dont have any photos cos i suck. the only shit thing about the night was the venue (the Corner hotel) and the fact some bloke said that i look like Drew Carey (but thinner) i dont know if that was a compliment or not but he was pretty fucken rat shit and so was i.....i dunno when you're drunk you get a bit funny about what stranger say about you...but i deplore violence so i didnt want any trouble....but thats cool...i like Drew Carey he is a funny guy....i think i look more like Brian Setzer or Chris Isaak or something i dont have a flat top...its more like a quiff...there is a gay ass picture of me at work at the end of this...Drew Carey? you decide!

anywho...that was friday night...then saturday night i went to a Grand Final party ( thats the AFL Grand Final for Australian rules football) at my mates place who i'm in a bandwith...we all got pissed again and had a jam...that was a pretty good night...not too much tradgedy there....everone was pretty cool...I had a grouse time..

and thats pretty much it. definately going to find out about my next sleeve soon....very soon

blogs..i still dont know if i get the purpose...i dont really think i'm that important that the events of my life need chronicling. i dont really even care if anyone reads it....do i need validation from my peers? maybe?...i never kept a diary...why do we do it? i dont know...i dont think there's anything wrong with it...i just dont truly understand it...why am i even asking these questions if i think no one will read this...thats done my head in...yeah, great

well Hong Kong was rad everyone....damn humid but ultimately RAD. such a crowded place but it was super fun...the food was incredible and so was the shoping, although i didnt spend too much money...anyway i will get some pics up here in the next few days...hope everyone is super awesome

well its Thursday...and I've had a couple of glasses of red wine...so its about time i ranted on here...but i've really got nothing to crap on about! This week has been great...had rehearsal Monday night and we recorded a demo CD (for our cover band) so maybe we can get some gigs from that....oh and I'm recording with my original band in a few weeks which I'm hanging for! we're gonna do some band shots which will feature my car, it's the one in my profile pics - but i've attached a photo in case you're too lazy to go there
so anyway...i've been listening to heaps of this band called Calexico....they're fantastic- a very mellow sound - so dont be expected to be blown away; they're so mellow...great to listen too late at night when you wanna wind down....cool cool music.....

work is the same as ever, i'm currently learning up on Google Anylytics, to further understand it i'm doing the Conversion University training which is actually really interesting...if anyone has a website and wants to learn more about the visitors; like where they came from, their landing pages and all that use(ful)less stuff I highly recommend it.
Well thats about it for now....only about a week till I'm off to Honk Kong which promises penultimate radness so I'll report back in when i can..
Oh, and i hope to've seen District 9 before then so i will give my report on that too.
Big thanks to Niobe for her great and positive influence to see Inglorious Basterds...It is most excellent and i also highly recommend that everyone go see it STAT!

howdy!!....here are my ideas for my next sleeve (pics are below) ..will have the Cobra on my forearm and the tiger will be at the top of my arm going over my shoulder....i want a full sleeve but i'm not sure whether to get the tiger to go over onto my chest like my dragon??? was thinking not...just the full sleeve with the tigers head just up over my shoulder....

also i want a hanya mask on my neck (again like the one in the picture)....is that a shit idea???

Thursday again, so i thought i'd put some crap up here once more....
Have had a really great week so far...spent the weekend down in Tasmania for a friends wedding - that was really great, Tasmania is notorioulsy cold but the weather held off and the day was superb! Everyone had a good time....well i did anyway
Tuesday and Wednesday me and my boss flew up to Sydney for an Online Retailer convention....got some awesome tips and pointers and will be implementing some new stuff to our site soon....anywaythats boring....

Hong Kong in two weeks! if anyone has any suggestions of places to visit i would love to know!

Okay, I'm not much good at writing blogs....in fact I dont think I've ever really had a go at wriiting one. I've never even been someone to keep a diary and I dont think anyone will probabaly ever read this....oh well. So i thought I'd write down some random shit about what has happened in my life this week.
1. The band - okay so I play bass in a couple of bands, so this should have been sub-headed The bands but anyway. So the Cover band had rehearsal on Monday night which was kinda lame, we did add a couple of "new" old tunes but anway we still are not really making progress yet. We still play at parties and football clubs and any number of private functions. It would be good to get some decent resident venue gigs but I think we're waiting until we do some recording.....anyway, thats boring.
2. The other band - well i was kinda pissed off this week with the Original band (which has recently been renamed "The Desert Riders". i think it sounds okay but there's something kinda lame about it....dont get me wrong I stand by the singers ideas etc but I would've given it a bit more thought. I'm sort of a gun for hire in that band anyway, so i just turn up and play really. Even when the other 2 guys (vocalst/guitarist and drumm) who both write the songs did a recording, they didnt even wait for me to record on the disc...they just did it themselves...I guess that kind of annoyed me, but like i said, I'm just kind of a 'Filler" in the band...they dont really need me, except for live gigs.
3. Tattoos - i've been playing around with the idea of knucke tattoo's this week....its a tough desicison given that every fucking possible 4 or 8 letter word combination possible has been done...there's nothing original left and some of the ones i've seen are terrible. The only good one i've seen, was a girls one (and i wouldnt get this myself) but i really like MANS RUIN on a girl....if i met a girl with that i would give her a big high five I rekon... Anyway, i think i've just decided to go back to getting my other sleeve done. Going to get a Japanese style tiger on the upper part of my arm - to interact with the dragon on my right arm and a Japanese style cobra on my forearm. i want lots more colour on my left arm..lots of blue and purple in the cobre and lots of bright oranges and black in the tiger....
I could go on about my new car and missing my ex-girlfriend but i might leave that for next time
