Right then, I've been a busy boy. I've got the MPC, it freakin rules the world. Been doin a lot of fiddling with it, I've got a whole heap of songs to translate over into it as well, which has been taking up a lot of my time. I'm also back at uni, this time studying something I love, sound production. I've learnt so much already and I've only been there a week. It's great, I actually look forward to going to all my classes, which is something that hasn't happened for a while.

Been really busy at work too, all the kids are back so we've been flat out. I've been getting to do some real manager stuff too, which is great. It's great to feel responsible and appreciated for the effort I put in.

Anyway, what's been happening with all you guys? My connection's too slow to go back through the last two weeks of entries for all of you so give it to me in condensed form. What's been the biggest change in the last two weeks of your life? robot

Hey,

I'm from the "most isolated city" aka Perth. Where are you from?

Although since you've got 'don't call it M-town' as your location I have a fair idea.

I too am from Perth, it seems we are getting a little bit of a gathering going here! But the Australian connection seems to be getting stronger.

yeah,still couriering....i think i'm a courier careerist
yeah fuck bouncing,it really does suck...i guess it was fun for a little while, well maybe more interesting than 'fun' but the novelty had well and truly worn off, and the hours? horrendous...i was never gonna get anything done....i still have'nt had a laid back Sat. or Sunday since i've been down here....y'know just cruising around not doing anything in particular.

My new job is the greatest, I love it, I can't belive I put up with last one for so long (3years). The extra cash doesn't hurt either. I have met a few new Aussie SGers which has been great, the Aussie contingent is really starting to grow and I still am yet to meet an SG member in the flesh. I would love to get together with some of the Brissy crew at some stage.

changes:

finally seeing my personal rock god on stage

discovering mindblowing books by chomsky

realising i can stop preaching to the deaf about vegetarianism i'm just pissing off my friends

accepting that studying another degree after this one will be near impossible because brendan nelson has arse-raped our "life long learning" higher ed opportunities. i should just move to somewhere in europe and beg for a free education.

though
i think i'm having issues processing all of those changes/experiences/realisations

saw bowie on monday. it was insane.
did you chuck your friend's battered body in a ditch while playing some bowie in some weird ritualistic 'kill the heathen' kind of way? how can someone reject free tickets? even if they're not a fan? maybe it's the freeloader inside of me but.. free tickets! and OH MY. A ROCK GOD.

good to hear you're nerdying it up at uni wink

My biggest change: back to full-time Uni. I too am enjoying my classes, but so far I seem cursed with being unable to go to my favourite Phil class. It's seemingly impossible.

I will make it, damnit!

i'm loving culinary school over here, cooking at a couple different places, 2 nights a week each.

things are basically well, and sometimes exciting or interesting.
