Yesterday, coming home from the vet, I opened the car door to get the pups out and in jumped this DOG! A really sweet bull terrier. He had a collar and he was kinda behaved. I spent the rest of the day trying to figure out who he belonged to. The neighbor across the way had their back gate open, so maybe it was theirs. Nope, when they got home later in the day, they told me it was a different neighbors dog and that she worked at one of the local schools. I not knowing her name or which school started calling the school offices asking if someone there lost a dog. I mush have sounded like a stalker, lol. “Do you live at 115 _blank_ street?” “With a bull terrier?” Well, someone in the office recognized the description of the dog and told me who the owner was, the kicker is that she doesn’t want him anymore! He is adorable and very sweet with a whole bag of tricks; play dead, high five, shake, down, sit, roll over, excellent of leash etc. When she got home later that day, I got her some info about terrier rescue and said I would keep an ear out for possible new owners. His name is Petey and he is about 7 months old UTD on shots and fixed. Just about full grown at about 50lbs, and he is the short legged breed bull terrier. The reason the owner doesn’t want him is because she already has 2 other dogs (a lab and a doxie) and no time for all the puppy energy. Her daughter is away at school and she was the one who got the dog and trained him. I think the mom was hoping for a lazy dog, and that is definitely not what a bully breed dog is. Anyway, if you are looking to add a dog to your house he may be a good fit. He is awesome with her small doxie and my puppies.
