It's been a hot minute since my last blog.
Updates:
- Bought a bed.
- Fought a cold.
- Licked depression.
- Learned the art of Pickle-backing (1 shot Jamison + 1 shot pickle juice = waking up and feeling like Jack LaLanne).
- Dredged some crates.
- Copped some tickets:
(1) LCD SoundSystem (@Terminal 5)
(2) The Gories reunion show (@Maxwell's)
(3) Eddy Current Supression RIng w/Pissed Jeans(@Death By Audio )
- Landed some jobs.
- Researched a writing retreat to a cabin this fall (MA). All I need now are some shrooms and the Necronomicon and it's a fuckin' party).
- Confirmed that I've got two shoots coming up in late-July that fly me out to Maui and Kauai (Boring work. Fun times. I'm sticking around for an extra couple days each to defrag on bag of lawn clippings from the landscaping community. Might even find me an Ayahuasca vine and mow Willie Nelson's lawn for old-times sake).
- Called bullshit on a plethora of threats from the great state of Exas. Should have listened to my mother's advice that if shit got ugly, the first thing my ex would try would be attempting to legally steal the car that I've been making green grocer payments on for the last two years. What is this a daytime judge show. A war is a brewing and I'm prepared for Valhalla with a bucket of jihads. But to paraphrase SunTzu's opening remarks, the best way to win a war is to avoid the engaging one's self in one, if at all possible. We shall see. I guess I'm on orange alert until further notice.
Enough fighting. I make a much better lover. Here's the newest of the new in the ongoing series of Ben By Request Only mixes (already @ vol. 7, Whuuuuuut?) Hope you all enjoy the TLC (not refering to Chillie or Tboz, but maybe LeftEye??? RIP) that I put into them.

POST SCRIPTUM - A movie review of Stunt Rock was promised, but life kinda got in the way. I will hopefully sit down and watch it sometime very soon and give the ol' play by play.
