A work in procession to the end of things

When you finally find out all you are is worth money, and love means nothing, and that other people won't change. You have nothing left. Johnny is right; it’s time to go home. A man can't live without dignity, respect, safety & security, and the feeling that he is loved. When all this is gone only emptiness and decay remains. And empty heart is as good as dead. He waits for me. I hear this footsteps coming now, in the distance. The darkness hasn’t got here yet, but I know it is on its way.
