If you happened to read @skella 's blogpost this week than you already know what I am going to talk about in this homework assignment from @missy @lyxzen and @charmaine Buckle in, it's going to be a long one!
The best friends you choose for yourself have far stronger connections to you than the ones that you're stuck with in school. I haven't known either of these babes for very long but it feels like we have known each other for a life time! @taystee came all the way across the state to visit @skella and I on Thursday, and the time passed far too quickly away from us.
We had a show for my burlesque troupe on Thursday night that went super well! The show went super smooth and I felt like a goddess on stage, and Skella was even a stage kitten for us (she looked amazing)! Taystee came to support us and see the show, it was the perfect ice breaker for our first real life meeting :) Knowing those two babes were in the crowd really helped me preform with confidence and a real smile.
After the show we almost killed Taystee's car trying to jump my friend, we're actually pretty lucky that we made it home that night :/ When we got home and started chatting it was obvious that we were going to get along swimmingly (even the guys had a ton to talk about). It was nice to have a live-in SGbestie to shoot the shit with all day.
On Friday we went out to scout shoot locations for our Mini Shootfest. We hiked the river gorge where I did all of my adventuring as a teenager. It was fun to share this place that means so much to me with my new friends and there were soooo many awesome locations that we found to shoot at. I think we found more than twenty different locations and we only needed 4 sets. Taystee's BF nearly died taking a crazy run and then tumble down a very steep hill, our hearts simultaneously skipped a beat as we watched him. It was an amazing day, certainly one to remember. That night we had a fire in the back yard with all three of us girls and each of our spouses, probably the last fire of the season and I am so glad I spent it like that. We roasted marshmallows and found out that Skella may just have a marshmallow addiction ;)
Saturday was super chill, we went shopping for the clothes we would wear in our sets the next day. It was very easy to find what we needed for our multi and my husband even picked out the most adorable lingerie for Skella, it matched her hair and everything :) In the evening Taystee and I just hung out and got stoned it was great! We did our nails and we watched a really bizarre Japanese movie called Dead Ball (look it up if you have the stomach for it). Sometimes those relaxing nights can be the best ones, I hope to share many more of them with her. Before bed we curled her hair and set it in pins, so glad we did because it came out fucking gorgeous the next day! Skella came to my house early in the morning when she got out of work and caught some sleep on the couch with her boo.
The morning of the shoot went unbelievably smooth considering we were up all night all weekend long. We got up and hit the ground running, curled Skella's hair all did our makeup and we were out the door in an hour and a half without forgetting anything we needed for the day. My good friend Stephen Lindsay was our photographer for the day (we have a set coming out in less than 3 weeks)
We shot a multi set with Taystee and I first thing because we were smoking a blunt in it and didn't want to get caught. The shoot went so well, everything felt right and there was surprisingly not awkward at all for us to basically make out and get naked. I had so much fun, I suspect you may see several Pout and Taystee multi sets in the future. Here is a preview of it:
and here is my favorite behind the scenes photo of it:
I'm in love! <3 I cannot wait to see the whole set and share it with all of you!
Skella took an adorable set on a secluded pathway bench, her outfit was to die for and the whole feel of the place is just right for the website. I saw the picture off the camera that should be the cover shot and I have a feeling it would look amazing on the FP :) Here is a cute behind the scenes shot I snapped of her in the mist of the falls:
We hiked down the gorge to the river bay after that to shoot the other two solo sets. Mine was first right by the bottom of this massive waterfall in my city. I don't know why it took me so long to come up with this shoot location since I have been there so many times. When we got down there some fishermen were already there and got a little bit of a show, because there was no way we were gonna bail on this. I am so happy with how the set is going to turn out. I brought my old school Pony 135 down there for a prop and it has so much that I love involved. It very me :D Here is a preview:
and here is a behind the scenes shot of my screwing around:
Most likely you will see this set next spring!
Taystee shot last on this awesome rock we scoped out on the side of the river, it was the perfect place for her! It will look ethereal and sexy, I have some instax of it and I will treasure them forever! I loved getting to see her model, she know her angles :) Here is a behind the scenes shot of Stephen shooting her:
After a grueling hike back up the gorge we went back to my place and checked out all of the behind the scenes footage and instax.
Before long we had to say good bye so that everyone could have enough time to drive home. I wish it never ended, this weekend was completely wonderful! It made me feel great to bask in the glow of these to babes and I cannot wait to be reunited all together again :)
