Oh my. An Oregon winter is upon us. Foggy or overcast days in between weeks of rainstorms every couple of days.
Although I look forward to the Winter Solstice when the light begins to return - Yes!

Oh, and I love the solitude and peace of the middle of the night. It's still being awake at dawn when I have much to do in a few hours to come that gets me down.

Regrets are non-productive, and though it is okay to feel remorse if you do something that YOU feel is wrong or inadequate, it will not help you to move forward. I am not a fan of stagnation, so I simply choose to move forward. Part of a lot of people's problems lie in their inability to fix the things they can fix and accept what they cannot. And some people just like to complain. wink
it has been my personal experience that your view on life will dominate how you deal with life's little foibles, and we all have stress to deal with, we all have problems if varying sorts.
Being chronically ill will also do wonders for one's perspective.
And btw, it's generally best to reserve judgement in any case, and I agree with the philosophy. Even those we do meet are rarely what they claim to be and sometimes contain multiple choice surprises. surreal

P.S. I have actually considered living in Oregon. (Just caught that post) Beautiful stretches of coastline is just one more reason such a thing might be tempting. Also, it seems like a nice change of pace from the dry desert climate. tongue

hahaha... no worries friend, no snarky jabs here. You are quite right in fact, I have been more than a bit volatile lately, and the fact that I was trying to "forget about it" was a large part of the problem. I tend to be a "deal with it and move on" kind of person, and I finally got to do just that. Things are much better now than they were in that regards. But thank you. And yes, self-examination is not an easy thing, but if you can do it without flinching too much, you are on the right path to improvement, no?

Yes, you are right. In most cases I don't think I would bother with them if there wasn't something decent or at least what I thought was decent at the time. I don't bother with those I don't like generally (except in cases of business, as it sometimes cannot be helpd. On the bright side however, I may be further developing my skills of long-distance head explodey) I prefer to move on and be free of drama and needless concern, so if I don't forgive right away I am good at making it clear I'd rather forget. And funny thing btw, I was just thinking activated charcoal neutralizes poison too, wink and lo and behold it just happens to be a great time of the year for giving someone charcoal.
I don't think they'd get the poison reference though...
Too bad really. It would make a great greeting card.
