Music in 2013 is like a blast from the past. New Alice in Chains stuff is out...the new album drops in late May...and we get a new Filter album in early June. Call me crazy, but the nostalgia is definitely there when you consider those 2 bands have been around for roughly a combined 50 years. And they're still both putting out great shit. And have to get my plug for Spotify in. Best concept ever...to have basically 90% (give or take) of anything you wanna listen to right on your phone? Yeah buddy.

It is increasingly apparant that the far-right faction of our government would rather see the Obama administration soaked in the blood of the four Americans killed in the September 11th Benghazi attack than to actually see the perpetrators brought to justice. When the opposing political party is literally salivating and smacking their lips at the possibility of the other side of the aisle going down in flames instead of working together as a nation to make sure something like this doesn't happen again...it is quite frankly embarrassing. It all hearkens back to the Civil War...brother against brother...a ridiculous time in American history. Terrorism is alive and well. No amount of so-called "intelligence" (literally and figuratively) guarantees that our government can accurately predict every attack, and no attack is easily decipherable from the get-go. God forbid any information is ever released about anything ever again before all the facts are known. Let's face it...gridlock in Washington has always been terrible. Hearings in Washington are unbearable...and serve to show exactly WHY there are those who hate us.
