Aug 25 2006... that is my last day of paid membership.... I canceled my membership after 4 years of use.... but I'm hardly on here anymore...

but like most people... I might be back...you never know do ya..

It has been just about a month since last I updated...so it would seem I'm over-due...
My brother got married on Apr 15th... and I went back home to MS to attend... 14hr drive...within 2 hrs of arriving at my dads house on Saturday(one week before the wedding) for the rehearsal my mom and my brother's wife were in each other's faces yelling about stupid shit... apparently this had been going on for some months...but oh well I guess this is a bit normal...after about 45min or so all was ok enough to continue...and every thing else that day went well enough...
The rest of my visit was ok I guess... but stressful... after my vacation at home I needed a vacation at my house.... but that was not to be... I had one day off in which to catch up on house hold chores and run some errands for the new house I'm buying...
Did I mention I'm buying a new house...it is a half of a duplex that has been split into two 2bedroom apts...one is already rented out and the other is currently vacant... so as of the 28th of this month I will need to find me some renters...Just a little bit of stress involved with this whole thing....
My girlfriend of 7months asked me to attend church with her on this last sunday...and truth be told I never turn down an offer to go to someone's church... so I went... I did not like it... much like every other attempt to go to church... I guess church is just not my cup of tea... although I do like discussing religion with anyone and everyone that will listen...
I'm sure there is more to write...but I'm tired and have to work in the morning... so until next time catch you on the flip side...

As I slowly drift into a long term relationship, I think about the longer term...one of the long term items is kids...what is one of the first things I ask myself you say... how much money does it cost to raise one of these things?

And there it is in black and white... yea I know I'm odd... most people never even give the cost of raising a kid a second thought.... But would you just go buy a house without knowing the price... hell no!!!! .... So why would you go and have kids and not know the price... or so I think anyway...

Just something to think about...

I may be anal about money.... But my wise use of it helps me live as well as I can given my income source and skill set...

If I had "super powers" I would work toward making the world a better place... but like most areas of discussion, there are many ways to do the same thing and not all people agree on whether or not another person's way is the best...

So what with I do with these hypothetical "super powers"? ....

Well for one thing I would not be some do-gooder.... I would opt for the "punish the bad" vs the "reward the good" policy... punishing the bad may not be the best way to make the world a better place.... But I think I would get more job satisfaction out of it...

So in other more relevant to real life info about me:

I get my braces off in one week...and I was thinking about getting back into learning a foreign language...but I'm not 100% sure which one...

I have 8CD sets by Michael Thomas on Spanish, Italian, and German...I have reasons for wanting to learn each one of them...

Spanish - most likely the most useful language to learn for any American...plus my brother is now married to a girl from Peru (she also speaks French and English) and he is currently living down there and learning the languages as he goes...It would be nice to be able to talk the them in Spanish as well as her family...plus I would have somebody to practice with...

Italian - When I was in the Navy I visited Italy and had a great time and I always told myself that I would go back. When I get around to going back I would like to be able to speak some of the language.

German - I am of German decent and one of the days I would also like to get around to going to Germany and the same with Italian I would like to speak the language somewhat...

I'm currently leaning toward Spanish, since it would be more useful and I suspect it would help with learning Italian at a later date plus I suspect it will be the easiest of the 3...

Any thoughts???
