I just saw something about a black man joining the KKK. Is it just me, or is that actually a fantastic image of equality?
For a very long time, I've been trying to get off work at a decent time. Today, I stayed extra late to print out materials for my D&D game starting on Sunday.
Back in 2005, I did a tour in Iraq. I couldn't go back in civvies, so a kid caught me buying cigarettes in-uniform. He asked me, "How many people have you killed? What's your record?" I responded, "What do you mean? Overall or in a row?" His mother did not appreciate my humor. She's dumb.
I don't know if you guys were aware, but BioShock is amazing. My ex-wife liked it a lot. D&D is also awesome. She had an affair with my (also-ex)gaming buddy. But, I still like the stuff I like. I win, bitch! Keep the shirts!
When I was 3, I wanted to be a cowboy. When I was 6, I wanted to be Superman. When I was 8, I wanted to be Batman. When I was 11, I wanted to be an X-Man. When I was 16, I wanted to be a writer. When I was 18, I wanted to be a musician. You know what this means? No fucking real-world skills at all!
Watch the Spawn animated series from HBO. It's damn good - not like the movie at all. I mean, Michael Jai White rules hard, but that movie sucked.
Speaking of things that make sense, you ever notice that there are styled panties for little girls? Boy shorts, bikini cut... If we want our kids to keep their innocence, why are we mass-producing sexuality for them?

A decade since George Lucas said "Star Wars" was finished on the big screen, a new trilogy under new ownership is destined for theaters after The Walt Disney Co. announced Tuesday that it was buying Lucasfilm Ltd. from him for $4.05 billion.
The seventh movie, with a working title of "Episode 7," is set for release in 2015. Episodes 8 and 9 will follow. The trilogy will continue the story of Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Princess Leia beyond "Return of the Jedi," the third film released and the sixth in the saga. After that, Disney plans a new "Star Wars" movie every two or three years. Lucas will serve as creative consultant in the new movies.

I way, way, way overdid it drinking last night. Still paying the price. The lovely Arroia was very gracious about my drunk tweet. And, I owe my roommate big time. He came and picked me up at 1 in the morning even though he had to get up to do his Rugged Maniac run. Then when he got back from it, all tired and covered in scrapes, he drove me back out there to get my truck. If any ladies out there are interested in an impossibly good guy, it doesn't get any better than him!

Today's theme is bad ass motherfuckers. Let's all be honest here, Heavy Metal is nearly always just some novelty - not to be taken seriously. So, it's safe to say there will be no metal performers on here. Oh, there are crazy ones to be sure, but this is about the truly hardcore, not the chemically unbalanced. So, no GG Allin.
T-Model Ford is an illiterate blues man who doesn't even know when he was born. How Blues is he? He's been married seven times - or more! Not Blues enough?... Dmitri Shostakovich wrote some insanely powerful music. He made Stalin shudder and officially DENOUNCE him - more than once! When WW2 hit, he unquestionably supported his country, the one that had by far the most deaths of any other (23.4 million, actually). He went from being politically shat upon to being lauded with 22 awards, including the goddamn Hero of Socialist Labor. He died the way any decent Russian should: with cigarettes and vodka.

Christopher Lee... Where to begin... He's had more speaking roles than any actor alive, which for some reason shadows the fact that he's a trained pilot, infantryman, and (this is real) special ops. He's been given more awards than I care to count, and is a direct descendant of Charlemagne. In fact, he was recently awarded the Spirit of Metal for his band called Charlemagne. But, he's done so much more than that, musically! The guy's a nerd icon.

An old friend of mine is moving away to California. I've known him since sixth or seventh grade, and he was the drummer of our old garage band. For some reason, we don't hang out much anymore, but I'm really going to miss him. On top of that, my best friend is moving with his family down to Texas around the same time. That, I'm not too worried about. I know he and I will get to hang out again and will stay in contact because we've had to travel from each other quite a bit in the past.
What else? I made the hotel reservations for CONvergence. I've also reserved a space in Run For Your Lives, which is about the coolest 5k one could possibly conceive. More randomness? This guy needs to go find a girlfriend (EDIT: eh, maybe). And, while I'm being so honest, I've got some serious gas today - ladies...?

I'm going to break my own rules here and play something modern now. Sorry, Kittie, you rock but this dame has guttural vocals down better than 99% of black metal performers. I fucking hate pig squeal...
