With the deadened silence of my exiled mind shattered

a torturous word crawled to the darkest cavern of my being

where a dim glow resonated from the eyes of my dead dream

and tore a hole in my lachrymal sleep.

'Twas as if I had motioned the skies to part,

and a piece of heaven to tumble past my hungry eyes

when a single lonely drop fell to the inviting earth

and buried unending furrows to carve me open.

The words that crawled - Mourning Beloveth

Well I've had a pretty busy couple of days since I got back, got some visa paperwork hopefully sorted out, its only been draggin on for about 8 months now, who woulde have thought being over qualified for a job would cause so much complications.
But more importantly I picked up a ridgid Paughco frame for my Harley yesterday (35 degree rake and no stretch), just finished strippin down the bike today. Rear wheel has been sent off to get the hub powder coated and respoked with a 5.5 hub to take the 180 tyre. I was plannin on gettin the front wheel redone to make it a R16 x 3.0 with a 130 tyre but didnt as I found a few problems with the primary and tranner. I might still get it done if I get a springer front end but for the moment I'm just gonna concentrate on the important stuff.zoom image

So to top off a pretty crap week today in work I spilled oil down my arm doing a job a first year apprentice could have done, in front of a driver to make matters worse. Ahh how my pride was hurt haha. Then I ended up workin a 15 hour day, got back to camp filthy dirty and missed dinner because the mess was closed. I'm so bloody hungry right now. Anyway these things happen, no big deal.

But it was a couple of comments over the last couple of days that really made my week. It went something like this:

1st Guy - Thats a pretty sweet prison tat on your arm dude, were you in for long.
Me - What ????
1st Guy - That must of took a while, were you in jail for long.
Me - Cough......splutter.....gggrrrrr

And then a couple days latter.
2nd Guy - Woah, thats a serious lookin burn scar on your arm, what happened that.
Me - What ? Where ? No that white ink, its supposed to be like that.
2nd Guy - Oohh, They can make ink whiter than a Irish mans arm ????
Me - Hahaha ( sarcastic voice ) your so fuckin funny.

WTF, So basicly it looks like people think I'm a pale criminal, sigh, thats just bloody great

Today I visited an old graveyard which is beside the mine I work on. It dates back to the early 1900's when the gold rush was in full boom. There was an information sign with the names, age and cause of death of the people in the graveyard. This in its self was heavy reading as they all died very young due to work accidents, diseases caused by poor sanitation, alcohol poisining, murder and suicide. But the really sad part was the amount of women and children buried there too. It seems that women dieing during birth was unbelievably common as were stillborns babies. As I walked around I noticed that from the few headstones that was left, the majority of the people were Irish, people that would have been sent over as convicts for crimes as little as stealing a loaf of bread.

I came over here to work on the mines for the lifestyle and money, but these people had no choice........pretty humbling stuff

My week of R and R is now almost over. Things I did include:
Sleep,
Read,
Drink coffee,
Procrastinate about exersising and eating healty,
Go to a gig in The Castle ( the Creptter Children rocked ),
Throw ball with the dog,
See Avatar ( over hyped ),
Go to the shooting range,
Skateboard ( badly ),
Spend far to much time on the internet.

So basicly was pretty bored for most of the time, I gotta get a life......

Well I'm headin back to Perth in about 10 hours time. I should be lookin forward to this but I very much have mixed emotions, I dont like being forced to do any thing, which is pretty much what is happening thanks to the recession in Ireland and the general lack of jobs. I know it will all be fine when I get settled back into the routine of work, I need to stop being so negative about it - its not like I'm the first person who has been forced to emmigrate.... sigh....

As my i-pod and laptop were stolen in Kalgoorlie last January I've spent the last few nights loading all my cds back on to a new i-pod. A job I've being puttin off for a while now. At the time I didnt mind losing my music to much as I had most of it on cds back in Ireland and I knew that I would be able to reload them when I went home for christmas. My passport, trade papers, mobil phone and a few other bits were taken but all replacable except for for the life time of pictures, college reports and everthing else you collect over the years that was on my laptop. It was worthless to anyone other than me, but whatever life goes on......

Now I find myself about halve way through loading around 250 cds and Im not as laid back about it all as I was then. My eyes are practically bleedin here.............. but on a positive note I've relistened to cds that I had forgotten about and I've had a good excuse to spend some time here.......smile

I dont really know how everyone else feels about down loading music, although I have done it in the past, but I personally dont think it will ever replace the cd, I realy love to have a tangible finished product, so I can look at the cover artwork, read the lyrics or whatever..????
