Yes, he went to Chipotle. I have no idea why. Aisha and I went on Friday. We sat outside to make sure no candidates came in. We had burritos and tacos, made mostly from rice. Of course, Chipotle missed their earnings, so maybe they had already decided to cut way back on the meat. They will be further cuts, and higher prices. Still, a lot of yelling and pointing.
Taco Bell is better. In Texas, Taco Bueno is better still.
I have had my criticism of my pick to work for Rand Paul. People have called my a "neo con," showing they have no idea of what a neo con is. To be clear, I am a paleo con with libertarian tendencies. I see that in Rand Paul. His father proved conclusively that a libertarian could run for the GOP nomination. I think the young people who were excited by his father will rally to his son. I bleeive young college graduates, saddled with huge debt and not much in the way of job prospects due to Obamanomics, will be looking for something new and forward looking. A lot of people will.
One thing about Paul I cannot deny is his credentials are the same as the current clown in the Oval Office. Well, Paul is highly educated (so, admittedly, is Obama, though neither is as educated and Aisha or I), but he has held a job. He is a physician, like his father. His father served years as a congressman, so he has someone honest to talk to. I know he admires the cabinets of Reagan and W. That means you get the smartest people out there. You have meetings, frequently, and you listen to them. Obama does not do anything like that. since it would but into his golf and tv time. So, the experience would be there. He is a leader, as a part of the Republican Party, as well as people in the larger conservative movement follow him. Obama was never a leader, just a blank slate people wrote things on.
I am early to pick a candidate. The GOP, further, does not nominate conservatives, not since Reagan. The obvious neo liberal we will eventually select is Jeb Bush. A good man, I admit, but we are not in need of a moderate right now. The damage wrought by Obama calls for vast sweeping policies, not the late Lady Thatcher's ratchet. New vision, new ideas, new leadership.
So, I repeat, I support Senator Rand Paul for president. I do not beleive I am wrong. If I am mistaken, and the party selects someone else, I will just have to burn that bridge when I come to it.
