So, what have we been up to?
Hallowe'en stuff! Haunted houses. Ghost tours. Haunted pub crawls. Corn mazes. Actually, they are not corn. They are hay bales stacked up high. Personally, I have never seen the point of getting lost in a hay bale labyrinth, but the girls like it, especially Courtney. Megan believes it is because Courtney first had sex in a real labyrinth, with high hedges as walls. Courtney was confused about her sexuality; she did not like guys, but she never even considered homosexuality. Until a pretty girl a couple of years older invited her to a picnic lunch in her labyrinth, though she had an alternative agenda to pursue with 16 year old Courtney.
The ghost tours are fun, and there are many of them. Haunted Annapolis, who knew? They all end up in a cozy pub, when we talk about our own personal paranormal experiences, and I have one!
The haunted houses are amazing. The people who run them go all out to give a good scare, and they do a fine job of it. I am naturally a bit jumpy, and the phone ringing sometimes startles me. So, things jumping out at me dressed as some sort of monster or something like that is terrifying. Generally, I push Aisha at the monster, hoping he will take her and not me. Of course, the best part, the real genius, is leading you to think something is about to happen, and then give you something else.
Best of all, the weather has been cooperating.
If you can, go to a haunted house. Go on a ghost tour. Have some fun before winter closes in.
We had our office Hallowe'en costume party on Saturday night. We are wearing the same costumes we have been wearing for years. Aisha and went as Cleopatra and Marc Antony. We always do, though I do not admire Antony. I find few people worthy of admiration in the few years after the death of Gaius Julius Caesar. Good time, and they guys and a few women manged to catch a few minutes of the World Series.
