Shout out to pretty virgin Lolo Jones.

Sure, a fraction of a second in fourth place in the hurdles. No medal, and that is sad, but not deserving of anything but the fourth fastest woman hurdler in the world.

Not for the New York Times, far removed from its glory years. They decided Jones was worthy of a hit piece. An editorial writer claimed she was a "vixen, a virgin, a victim," depending on what her sponsors want her to sell.

Shameful. Even the Times admitted they were out of line.

I do admit to being surprised she is a virgin. Not because she has made that choice, and it is a choice, and a perfectly valid lifestyle. She has said, that when she has been propositioned, she has responded :Marry me."

I am surprised nobody has said "All right. Let's go to Vegas."
