I started writing blogs on here by writing about my band. Then i gave up for some reason. But I've decided that i should continually write about it here on suicide girls as a sort of sports log/journal/documentary since it's the only thing i have going on in my life right now besides my quasi-dedication to the gym. This blogumentary will just be something i'd like to hold on to for my old age, but since it's on the internet it will theoretically be there forever and won't burn in a fire, left in a bush, or stolen by jerks. Also, it might turn out as fun travel through comedy and, more likely, tragedy.
So just a quick 6 month summary.
we had our second show 6 months ago in Pasadena, and I was cocky and decided to get real drunk before hand. Little did I know I can't play very well drunk despite my best intentions. So I learned a lesson then.
Next show also in Pasadena I drank very little, and only whiskey, which helped my voice.
Made friends with The Most Powerful Hand in Pasadena at the Halloween show. I had a mustache.
In December we recorded with Chris Rakestraw at his place SUNSET LODGE in Silver Lake. Very awesome experience. Chris made us sound better than we deserved at the time. That was really fun. We did a 3 song demo and it turned out fantastic.
Sent out the demo to a bunch of places and put it on the myspace and started asking for tons of friends. I think we've got most, but have also been turned down, and only really get new requests from death metal bands, probably because our bros in ODIOUS MORTEM put us in their top friends list. Speaking of which, i've been disappointed that other bros with bigger, succeeding ands haven't put us in their lists, which is one of the several factors that cause me doubt about whether or not our band is actually any good. And i'm aware basing part of my worth on myspace is fucking gay, but there aren't too many other avenues for me to gauge how we're doing. So 1), it's annoying we're not getting more requests from "fans" and 2) i wish i was on more top friends lists. but whatever.
Finally got a response from Church Of The 8th Day about the demo we sent to play Murderfest this year. They said murderfest is probably not doable (didn't specify why) and that they dig our shit and want to book other shows. Could be awesome, they do book some really good ones.
Finally got ovrcast productions to book us some shows. hopefully we'll get to play with the likes of SAVIOURS, BLACK COBRA, and EARTHLESS in the future. Or hell, homie has booked the SWORD a few times. That would be big time stuff.
Made friends with somebody from METAL BLADE who really dug the demo and said she'll give it to the "bosses". Not expecting much from that, but it's still cool.
Got an awesome review on Hellridemusic.com which you can read here. Some dude in Pittsburgh hit me up and wants us on his stoner metal radio show. That's cool too.
Struggling with whether or not to get another guitarist. I think it will greatly enhance the overall sounds, especially during guitar solos, and take a little pressure off me so I can fuck up a little more. Problem is picking the right guy or gal. And also it will making taking the sound into a more Hendrix-esque dimension less doable because the other guitar will take up space. And i'll want to be the star. There. I do have an ego.
I can't think of much else to say right now so I'll keep writing as things develop.

Sorry I'm crappy and haven't seen you play in so long. Maybe next time I'll be blown away and be inspired to practice guitar again and audition for you.
Forties and cigars soon please.
