Today has turned into a very interesting one to say the least. First thing this morning, I woke up being my normal groggy self, did my normal ritual, check my texts, the news, obituaries, then email. "What's this?" I said, "I have an automated email from AFPC? Well, let see what it says the."
"Congratulations! This is the notify you of your selection of a Permanent Change of Station."
I popped right out of bed, got showered, got dressed and raced to work excited as could be only to find out that I was to be headed to Kunsan AB, Republic of Korea. Not even close to what I wanted, actually it is geographicly the opposite end of the continent away from where I want if I have to go overseas.
So after much debate with myself and seeking of encouragement and advice from people who have been there, I have decided not to fight it and just go. It's a year, only a year, and then I'll get somewhere nice. I'll also be back on my beloved F-16s, my babies. I doubt anyone will read this, but if someone does and you've been there, please leave something positive about that place, I can use all the encouragement I can get for this.
