This is the first real entry on this blog.
Let me start out by mentioning that since I started using Firefox a while back, I've grown dependent upon their built in spell check. Now, despite that feature and a few others, I find that Firefox is a buggy and unreliable browser. While I still use it as my primary browser, for suicidegirls.com, I find that IE is a far more agreeable option. All this is to say that I am writing all this free of spell checking, and it is no doubt going to be riddled with spelling errors. Please forgive them. Perhaps after I complete this entry I'll investigate to see if a spell-check plug-in exists for IE. For now, we're just going to deal with it.
I don't know exactly what motivated me to subscribe to this site again. I suppose on some level it was a celebration of the fact that I had disposable income for the first time in months. If I know me, it might have also had something to do with me being horny and having 50 bucks at the same time, and coming to those realizations alongside my rediscovery of this website. In any case, here I am.
And this is where I usually get stuck. What do I post to perspective readers that know nothing about me? In this case, I'm going to fill you in on the basics. Maybe if I can feel like I've gotten past that barrier, I can bring myself to write something with more depth.
My name is Jason. I live in Maine, in the general area of Bangor. I came down here for college, which I never completed. I took a lot of English and Sociology classes. I have no real desire to talk about my job.
Before I moved here, I was brought up in a very small town, of about 900 people. I feel this is important to note, because rural upbringing is a huge part of my self-identity. I used to hate it, but I've recently grown to accept, if not embrace the fact that I'm a product of rural northern Maine.
I play music. I play guitar and bass, and I fuck around with keyboards and occaisionally drums, though I'm very bad at the latter two. I'm in a band called Wood Burning Cat with my roommate Tony. I play bass and sing, he plays guitar, and we run programmed beats through a spare bass amp. We play a show or two every month. It keeps me sane.
My girlfriend's name is Angie. Our relationship is strange, but usually good.
Thanks for reading. That's all I've got for now.
