Tonight was a great night. I decided to skip class and take a night for myself. Its hard to enjoy yourself sometimes, especially when its cold outside and people are generally so negative because of it. Tonight I decided to head on over to my favorite gin joint of all the world, the Hi-Hat. No matter when I go, there is always someone there I know and that is happy to see me... my own personal Cheers. I spent a good few hours at the end of the bar in my usual spot talking to a good friend; that is - the type of friend you can have a good few, meaningful conversations with that really... really make you think. An added surprise was a good bartender and friend was working and a few other good friends that I always wished I could spend more time with. After many laughs, smiles, and fake Sicilian accents; it was time to bid my old friends farewell and head home. I lay now on the couch, a Buddha candle lit at my side, some good tunes playing and a smile on my face... sometimes life can be beautiful!
