So I went out and voted today. Weee for democracy! I have to say... the old ladies that work at my local polling place have to be the nicest group of ol' biddies ever! They're so cute.
And then over to the post office and the reminder that most government workers are cranky and rude. God bless America!
Finally got around to seeing "Sicko". Good movie, but upsetting. A lot of that crap hit close to home. Really steams my pickle!
I'm making pad thai tonight and I just realized I forgot to pick up cilantro. Bah!
Talked to my sister for a long time last night. It was good to hear from her. She wants me to come out for Christmas. I don't think it's a good idea. It would be great to see her and some of my old friends, but I don't want to have to pretend to like her dipshit boyfriend and it would be all sorts of bad if my mom found out I was in town. I have enough on my plate right now, I certainly don't want to deal with her craziness. From what I hear, she's more unstable than ever. But still, might be better than spending Christmas alone.
Damn, it's gotten cold. I need to buy a coat. The ol' hoodie's just not cutting it anymore.
Yes, this entry is a bit random and disjointed, but that's how I'm feeling today.
Another up and down week. Went to lunch with NoPantsDave which was a lot of fun. Took him to my favorite local dive and then on a tour of my fair city. All... what?... five square blocks of it? 
It was a beautiful day for a walk, I love this weather. So happy Summer is over. Even though I didn't go out on Halloween, I did wind up carving a pumpkin and roasting up the seeds. Yumyum. Friday was rough. That was the day of Brandon's wake and though I couldn't go (or because of it), I was thinking about him all day. The rest of this weekend has just been all about getting some stuff done around the house, running errands, and general life type stuff. Honestly, I don't know where this week went. It's like I blinked and it was over. Think it's the time of year and trying to stay so busy. *shrug* And I'm really tired. I'm having a hard time with the fact that Xmas is right around the corner. Ugh.

Welcome to another episode of the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly...
The Good
- Spa Day for me and my bitches! All 3 of my furry ladies got baths, even Jersey who is usually a two-person job. They are shiny and fresh! And I gave myself a badly needed facial. So now I'm shiny and fresh too!
- I watched my first episode of the L-Word. How have I not been watching this show?
- Two words. Fondue party!
The Bad
- I've decided to sell off the majority of my toy/action figure collection. Not necessarily 'bad', as I need the money and really don't want to have to pack/unpack them, but I'll still be sad to see them go.
- I lost one of my favorite spirals. Boo.
- My insomnia is back with a vengence. And I am oh-so tired.
The Ugly
- My sister got back together her controlling, abusive boyfriend. I'm am beyond words. I was so hoping she wouldn't turn out to be her mother's daughter. Anyone in AZ want to take him out to the desert and teach him a lesson?
- I cut my leg on something (who knows what?) and didn't notice it until I had bled all over my pants, socks, and the carpet. Honey, we've got a bleeder! Charming.
