My thought on Weiner is that he is a very busy man. Like most, although not all, politicians, he probably spends a great deal of time going to meetings, raising campaign funds and seizing upon every opportunity to remind people of how great he is as a public servant and a human being. It's exhausting. He exists under a constant pressure cooker of self-analysis and public appraisal. Like other politicians, he needs something to take the edge off. For some people, regardless of occupation, that could mean booze, drugs, gambling, food or shopping. For high functioning men like Weiner and other officials who have lived through such scandals, who are constantly on the go, that leaves one tried and true source of a reliable high. The affirmation that comes when someone lets you know they want to sleep with you. Or even cyber-sleep with you. - Alec Baldwin, HuffPo
While Weiner is clearly a bit of a dick (or at least a considerable portion of him is), I have to agree with Alec Baldwin on this. Unless we want our future leaders to be exclusively socially inept Billy-No-Mates who never get invited to the party - never mind photographed 'n' tagged at one - we'll have to be a little more sophisticated about our attitudes to politicians, their private lives, and social media.

Justin Warfield and Adam Bravin of She Wants Revenge came into the SG Radio studio this past weekend to promote their new album, Valleyheart. The boys talked candidly about their shared history with SG; a couple of girls on the site, and the music from the SGLA scene, having served as inspiration for the very creation of the band. The duo also played a couple of acoustic songs from the new record which quite simply blew me away. After that, it was mandatory that I go down and check them out at the Roxy this past Monday night. The sold out show was crazy amounts of awesome (see pics). The crowd was well into it too, and the band couldn't have had a better start to their month-long US jaunt. Anyways, Justin and Adam are keen to reconnect with their old friends on the SG site, and will be spending more time in our corner of the web. Those that knew them here back in the day should definitely stop by their reactivated member pages to say hi....

Oh no, I'm destined to be forever remembered as someone who used the word "awesome" frequently on Facebook by a social media bot that has no sense of irony. Awesome!!!!
Meanwhile I understand Donald Trump has asked to see the long form death certificate.

Had a fun time at the Golden Gods last night. Just have one thing to say: Conditioner!!!!
I've never seen so many split ends in one place.
Men, if you're going to have long hair, you gotta look after that shit.
To mark the day I suggest that you do something either irrational or transcendental -- or even better something that is both -- since these are characteristics of the mathematical constant we call Pi (π) that expresses the relationship between a circle's diameter and its circumference. Those that are rather particular about their favorite ratio observe Pi Minute at 1:59 p.m. or even Pi Second at 1:59:26 p.m. ( 3.1415926).
Go run around in circles (dogs do it all the time and have a blast) and have an irrational and transcendental day!
Anyone know where I can buy a "Support the WI 14" T-shirt?
So proud that America has finally found its spine.
