So we met this couple through friends and they invited us for nude cocktails and skinny dipping. Fortunately they have an indoor water source for the skinny dipping as it was very cold. We had a chance to really get to know this couple and they are a lot of fun. We're very lucky to have met them, and even better they are about a mile down the road.
Just to clear up any misconceptions: this was not a swinging couple, just some happy hippie nudists like us. It's so nice to know that despite being in the middle of nowhere, and in a conservative town, there are people who are like us. We were beginning to think that we were all alone, but now we aren't.
Looking forward to the warmer weather that is coming this weekend. It's about time! We've both started thinking about gardening and how nice it will be to finally have something that we can do outside without us freezing our nips off. We're going to be putting in 3 flower beds. Generally we both prefer perrenial plants and shrubs, but once our greenhouse is build we can start raising plants from seed. This will save us a lot of money as plants bought at a nursery have huge markups. Thats kinda what we're hoping for anyway with our new orchid business.
We also have a little stream that runs through our land right near our house. After years of neglect before we bought the place, it really needs to be helped. We're going to reinforce the banks and define it's flow a little better to encourage frogs and such to come hang out. There is also an unused dug well next to the stream, which we are going to open up and let the spring add to the flow.
Anyways, just ideas while I stare out my window thinking of far off places and times past...

motherchaos:
It sounds so nice.... Spring is yet a dream here. I do have a small garden plot, but I don't even do starters till May 1st since I can't truly safely plant till after Memorial day. I think it is time for a trip to Chena Hot Springs.... Can't skinny dip there, but at night and while it's cold outside, the outdoor pool can be a rather "private" and enchanted place.... And Warm!!
