I just realized my boss isn't on here anymore. That sucks. Anyone I setup my account for deletion so August 30 will be the last day. I hardly ever use this thing and I really need less to keep up with.
Well Friday at the Mooch and Burn is now on. Evidently the owner made a public apology and sounded genuinely humiliated. So if anyone wants to come see Axis and other bands instead of Queens of the Stone Age then please do.
Oh and here's something I am all about. Its called the Fair Tax.

Well I did a knee jump buy on a motherboard and now I regret it a bit. Pretty much they have this Asus nforce mother board that has some killer specs to it but I didn't read up on the processor it uses. Pretty much I'm a hardcore AMD fan so the thought of buying Intel is like the thought of joining an army to kill jews to me. The AMD chip this motherboard uses are a pair of FX's. Unfortunately I just read the reviews on the buy online portion of the website and didn't bother to read any of the tests. Well I have now.
Pretty much Intel beat AMD to the Quadcore processing bit so AMD reacted by putting out these FX chips. First off Intel is giving you 4 CPU cores in one piece of silicon while AMD is doing 2 pairs of dualcores. Second off, AMD's uses so much freaking power. I'm probably going to have to buy a $200 power supply (1000W) to make the damn thing work. I'm kind of peeved about that. I'm also worried about blowing out the breaker in my wall. Granted according to the panel its a 20 AM breaker but I'm still paranoid.
Price wise I might have taken the better deal. Its hard to say. I probably could have gotten a much cheaper motherboard had I went with Intel for the first time in over a decade but I'd probably still want a motherboard similar to what I got. I'm a multimedia guy. I use a lot of music studio and synthesizer apps and I do the occasional graphic work. The pair of AMD processors (which aren't even sold together by the way) will run about a grand total of $650 or so. Now in comparison Intel's would probably cost me close to a grand for one chip but it would use almost half the power.
The one positive thing about this motherboard with the l1 socket I got is that AMD is claiming that they'll release some quadcore processors that will work on it (giving me a total of 8 cores). Personally, I'm not sure I can justify doing 8 major processes at once.
The worst part about it all is that supposedly to get the most out of my AMD xcore processors I'll have to get Windows Vista. Only I won't. Seriously, Microsoft and Intel, please go die. Let Linux reign.

Why? Because whenever you install things like quicktime or itunes they automatically uninstall the Creative drivers and/or software. Not very gentlemen like is it? And all the companies pull shit like this. Its really not very cool.
That's the problem with computers. There's an endless amount of road blocks a company can put in a product to fuck another company over. Hell if you don't believe me just look up some of the court cases between AMD and Intel. Those should be easy enough to find.

He put a bunch of bands names on the flyer without even talking to them. One of my friends picked it up but not even he could save it. There might have been 50 people there at the very most. The worst part is as Attrition was about to do an encore the owner of the Mooch and Burn kicked them off so he could put another band he decided was going to play that night on. So pretty much all those upcoming industrial shows at the Mooch and Burn won't be at the Mooch in Burn. Matter of fact I don't want to be associated with someone that unprofessional in any manner where venues are concerned so I'm never going to step in the place again.

So Sunday Axis is playing. $3 at the Mooch and Burn. We'll probably go on about 9:30 or 10. Attrition and High Blue Star are also playing. There may be as many as 6 bands playing. We don't know. Its a giant mess. Pretty much the guy who was running the show bailed on it and someone else picked it up last minute. I don't want to get into it because I don't want to dirty anyone's name and as far as I'm concerned everything I know about the situation qualifies as rumors and gossip. I'm not too fond of rumors and gossip.

I really have two subjects on my brain at the moment, both completely unrelated.
The first is a hard one for me presently to sum up easily in a sentence. Now I've been that kid in the back of the class making fun of everyone else for having fun and being sheep most of my life (up until a couple years ago actually). I've really come to have a negative opinion of that mentality now. Let's take the entertainment industry for instance.
A commercial comes on in a theater. This commercial is designed to make you laugh at certain places and, of course, want to buy the product. If its for a movie then maybe they show you all the best parts or best lines. The back of the class kid would make fun of anyone for falling for such an obvious ploy. Well you know what my opinion on it is? That's life. Pick and choose. What do you know about the company or people involved? No, what do you really know, not rumors. I hate the sheep people that live on rumors. Not every old saying is right in every instance. Just sayin'. Personally I respect a person more that knowingly enjoys an advertised life. I mean seriously, its the entertainment industry, why the fuck are you watching it if you don't want to be entertained. Yeah there's a lot of bullshit in the world but if we want to get really extreme then in all reality we don't shit in the first place. You may disagree with that last line but I'm telling you its true. Were you there? Did you see it? And if you've been to any magic shows you know a lot of things can be faked. And if you've ever dated around you know emotions can be faked to some degree. Well I suppose it isn't the emotion that's being faked but the communication is mislead which develops into one sided emotions. Anyway, got on a tangent. My first point is somewhere up there.
Second one's about me. I think I've hardly dated anyone over the past 5 years because I am utterly convinced I won't treat them right. I become disinterested rather quickly with the few I have dated. I haven't really been able to connect with a female for a long time and I mean that in the mind kind of way pervs. The last few I did connect with were good friends' girls and those may as well be dudes in my head. I'm looking for mental stimulation and not finding it. Course I'm not really looking either. Its not that I don't want a girlfriend, its more a compilation of what I've told you. Then add on to that I've become a horrible listener and people don't seem to want to tell me things anyone it seems like. I swear for a while it was like I was the most trusted person in the world and then it all went away. No clue why. Course that probably goes both ways. Its not that I don't trust people, its that I used to not trust people and now I don't care enough to bother with the subject so much. Well, I don't know that what I just wrote is true. See I really don't care about doing the whole know thyself thing anymore. There's only so much self exploration a guy can take. Man this paragraph is going no where fast. Well I say that, its going to a lot of clarification. Time to end it.

Holy crap I can die now! Transformers was the awesome. I had even read the script before hand and man it was a bad script. But they made it work. This may replace my all time favorite movie Casshern. But Casshern does have a lot of emotional content. Man I really don't like Michael Bay but he pulled it off.

And I have the PS2 Armada game even though I hated the cartoon and I have the new Wii game and both DS games. I'm an electronic engineer. I love freaking robots man! I want to build one and live in it. Its not even that I want to make a friend, its more that I want a giant metal friend. I want to know what it would be like to have a non-organic sentient friend. It would be very much out of this world. Some people commune with nature, well I commune with technology but I'm lazy and not the brightest crayon in the box.
