The most beautiful weather in Texas this past week. Went to Barton Springs in Austin, TX with the chica yesterday. The water was crazy cold and perfect in the 97 degree heat! Ahhhh, I LOVE Summer!

Well my stomach hurts. Other then that though, this summer is starting off great! I went to the beach this past tues-thurs. Beaches in Texas kind of suck in general since the Gulf is kind of like the coastal equivalent of a toilet...but we do what we can. North Padre Island was the best I could do and the weather kicked so much ass. I got a nice little tan, not that I need much cuz I'm a delicious caramel color any damn time of year. Oh, my girl taught me how to body surf, that shit was fun. Three out of four in my group lost their sunglasses, wtf. Wal-mart will be replacing mine . Looking forward to tubing on the river and more sun in my near future. Hope everyone is getting outdoors for summer!

You know, the day started well. Woke up to a phone call from my chica wanting to kick it. Got some sun and had fish tacos on the deck at the Riverpub here in San Marcos, TX. Had a couple of Cadillac Margaritas (1800, Grand Marnier, Contreau) which are the shit. Sat out by the river and watched people make douches of themselves. A general good time. However, now I am sneezing my fucking brains out of my face due to whatever mold/kill me bug that was in the air and irritated my delicate sinuses. I better be able to sleep this off. I have to be at the Natural Planet Grill in Austin, TX before 9PM and MusicLab, also in Austin, by 11PM to try out with this band. WTF. Fuck you allergies.

College girls rock. Just got back from an apt. pool party in San Marcos, TX. A few hundred half naked people running around a body of water getting drunk to celebrate Friday afternoon. In the U.S. we do this in college. In Brazil and Spain they do it their whole lives. And we're supposed to be the enlightened nation?? Seriously.

Beautiful fucking day outside in south Texas. Nice breeze with clear and sunny skies. Good day to be alive... making music, learning shit in books, all those good things. These are the kind of days that are so wasted cooped up in an office! No offense to any office-goers.

So I'm a musician. I go to to school to study music here in south Texas. I'm a singer. In general, it's a pretty kickass way to earn a degree. There is, however, one thing you do as a collegiate singer that is whole-heartedly gay. Choir. Sure harmony and all that shit is great, really beautiful at that. And it's not as if its easy to be in a good choir, it takes a lot of work to sound anywhere near decent. The sad truth remains that, a lot like male cheerleaders, it's still gay. I like to think that there are a lot of people out there also doing questionable things as they pursue their passions, like I do for music.

Ah well, back to learning random Latin phrases in four-part harmony...

If it were just pictures of hot girls I probably wouldn't have joined. I'm a geek, I can get that anywhere on the internet. What interested me were the additional groups/boards and being at least a small part of movement that I have thought was a kickass idea for a long time now.
