I've been really phyched on this Kickstarter thing and I spent some tome today browsing some of the current projects as well as some others that have been successfully funded by this concept.
It started when a while back my good friend Helene started a Kickstarter project to print a limited edition of good quality LP's of here new record. It was a great and now we all have vinyl copies of here wonderful record "The Deer Convention".
I've also seen some great small idea product design coming out of the Kickstarted camp. I'm sorts of crafty, so I love shit like this. Check it out.

April 2010? Jesus, what the fuck have I been doing. I'm not really sure I remember. Just partnered up with a commercial recording space here in town. Great gear, huge live room.
Well since last April (July actually) I started seeing a girl. Then I fell in love with that girl. Now i'm planning on moving in with that girl sometime this summer. I'm excited about it. I think it's gonna be a really good move for me. She's amazing and my intuition says "do it".
I picked up an acoustic piano from an old jazz guy for free, so I put it in my garage and spend as much time as I can with it. It truly is an amazing instrument to be in the presence of. It resonates soo much. Instant Symphony. It is actually much easier for me to write music on piano than guitar. It's just got so many possibilities.
The Mumlers will be touring from San Diego to Vancouver, BC from June 19th - 27th. Playing July1st in Oakland at the Uptown, too.
Doctor Nurse is going to test all the wiring I just spent days on mixing our new record titled "Blood Gong". It's kind of a new montra. Where has my bud gone?
Family Room is finishing up a record that we recorded with Monte at Ruminatoraudio in SF. He's amazing to work with and always catches what I hear in my head as an end game. It's tough to be playing pedal steel in this group because i'm sooo green at the instrument. At the same time it's kind of fun because of the high level of improv and freshness.

Got a new job. I'll be commuting up to SF everyday on the train. With my bike. Yeah, i'm stoked.
So much has happened. Got a job, ended that job. Recorded a legend, got the comeback session next moth. Trying to reunite the old rock band with Punt. Looking for two roommates for the house downtown, filing taxes, cleaning the house so it looks presentable.
Split up with the girlfriend of 2+ years. I'm a bit sad and lonely so i'm putting forth the effort to go out more. My niece turned 3 yesterday, and she gave her uncle Bobo a hug. (she thinks i'm a clown... not far off).

Recording for 4 days straight. Three different projects. I kind of like the quick and dirty sessions. They have more instant satisfaction
wow. since may already? I guess i'm living on an island.
To catch myself up, released a record in September. Good opportunities came our way and did a full US tour in Oct/Nov. let's see if i can remember all of them:
San Diego
Echo Park
Fullerton
Tucson
Albuquerque
Austin
Denton
New Orleans
Athens
Chapel Hill
D.C. (Hung out with Ian Mackaye!!!)
Philly
Jersey
Manhattan
Brooklyn
Portland (east)
Boston (+day recording)
Danburry
Winooski
Lancaster
Louisville
St. Louis
Chicago
Champagne (+day recording)
Omaha
Minneapolis
28 performances in 31 days. It was amazing. Jammed on the 1, camped in river run park, met so many animals and their owners, crashed on floors, bars, hallways, beds, grass, and in one instance, woke up to Mt. Rushmore at 2:00am. Met two idols, toured with 5 idols, crashed at Art Blakey's house, and got to listen to the most wonderful music. Green archer gains +5 back pain points!

Just waiting for the label to give the record a street date.
Got the final album artwork back. It's my favorite. ever.

Came home from tour to find my basement flooded. Now starts a very exhausting three weeks of my landlord shining me on and not returning my phone calls only to give me every excuse as to why it's not being fixed when he does call.
I wish I owned this house.
I wish the rain would hold off until I can fix the foundation
