I'm just going to talk about stuff that I've been up to this summer sense posting about a full year is just plain insane. Lol
I'm still enjoying my job as an industrial painter even though I took some unwanted time off due to a finger injury and the lack of work in my area. I'm back to work now, yay. I've been working on Centurylink Field painting the east arch. I also took a week to do some warranty work on the power plant at Snoqualmie Falls. Both of which had their ups and downs.
I'm a sucker for sunrises and starting work at 6am on top of Centurylink gives me a beautiful vantage point for some spectacular sunrises.
We are using spyders to reach the sides of the arch and the legs.
Every so often we horse around even while 300 ft in the air. Haha My coworker decided to play hide and seek when we first started painting the legs.
On of the most exciting things to happen to us while we were up there, that just so happened to occur this week. Was that we were on TV. The Mariners had a day game and zoomed in on my coworker and I repositioning the brackets the spyders hang from.
I'm sitting down, in the process of wrapping the spyder cable around my feet to help me hold it while I connect it to the bracket. My coworker is holding a backup rope just in case I drop the cable.
This is our view of the game haha I can see the crowd real well.
Working at Snoqualmie Falls is always a blast yet quite a work out. Repelling down 600 ft of penstock (water pipe) and then climbing back up makes for an exhausting day.
Other than working I haven't been up to much.
