EDIT 2
FML.
Unrelated Note: Cover to Youth
EDIT: Rest In Peace Micheal Clark Duncan. You made movies better.
Good evening/afternoon/morning SG Land.
To recap:
Five people donated to the kickstarter. I'd like to say that it was five one thousand dollar donations but in the end the kickstarter failed.
I'm okay with this. I knew going into it that it would be tough. I was hoping random strangers would buy something. The fact that I raised one sixth the total gives me hope for when I do the next kickstarter. (At least I won't have to work really hard getting what I offered out to people heh heh haw haw haw :hulk smash
The next kickstarter:
{Censor] All
Where in which I collect all the issues as one glorious trade paperback. It's not for another couple of months.
Onto the next project
I am going to be selling a LIMITED number of books at booth 2473 and with any luck I might get someone to sign a few copies. When I say LIMITED, I mean I have ten issues of each cover. THAT MEANS I ONLY HAVE SIXTY ISSUES. Don't worry, I'll have tee shirts for sale as well. WHY THE SMALL NUMBER? Well, if the kickstarter had worked, I'd have spent at least a hundred dollars on each book. But that's another matter if wishes were horses etc. I would like to have the fourth book but I'm waiting on content and a cover. So I'm really really hoping I get the pages done this week so I can get them to the printers so I can pay a little more and get them expedited. But I will be working on something at the convention.
[Censor] Magazine: CON
At the convention, I will be doing the following things:
Interviews with artists, writers, and cosplayers about their work
A where's waldo section
Draw Batman Blind (not a blind batman)
A convention cosplay yearbook where if you let us (me and whoever else works the booth) take photos of you, the goal is to get half of all cosplayers.
A short guide to New York
This is, no lie, my attempt at 100 pages. to put it into perspective, all the books have been 24 pages. It takes me anywhere from two weeks to a month to put an issue together. So in the FOUR DAYS that I'm there, I want to break 100 pages.
Wish me luck all.
