I can be a bit overly dramatic when I'm angry. I learned it from Lou Pinella.
I forgave the boy, that forgot to call, and broke the phone. But he did kind of make it up to me, by writing out our entire business plan, complete with goals, two, three, and five year projections. We found another like minded soul to help. She's a photographer, and a great sales person, which is good. We needed both those traits. We're starting a Magazine/Production company. If it seems like an odd combination, the goal of the thing is to support local artists, writers, and musicians, by publishing their work, and content about them, and their work.
Today we reserved a weekend at a bar to throw a party/show, and record a bunch of local bands playing Christmas songs. We've got to find someone to record said thing, and someone to print/publish CD's for us, but that shouldn't be too hard, with all the people we know. It's funny. Billman said it was starting to feel real when I got us a domain name... But for me, that moment was today, when we confirmed our first show. I've got to find an artist to do the poster, and we've got to book some entertainment for the night. We've got to get merch designed, and printed, and the blog goes live on Friday.... Oi! Here we go...
