There will be a brand new thread regarding all the finalized plans for th New Year's Eve party shortly. The location is confirmed. Please read the new post carefully. You will need to contact me personally to get in and to have a dinner reservation if you wish to go to that as well.
Even official Suicidegirls must confirm their intentions.
This is going to be one crazy winter. I started to write down all the different things I have planned in order and I honestly do not have one free weekend at all. So many folks are going to be in the NYC area over the next two months it's insane. Roxy, Eve, Tryptamine, Lil_Tuffy, Poppy Dave, Nic, Dia, and a whole cast of others. On top of all that there's Christmas shopping to do and concerts to go to as well. Unbelievable. My heads going to fall off.
Back to planning this winter's festivities tonight. I have so much ahead of me. I am overly excited about it all. First we have Interpol playing in NYC on the 19th. Lil tuffy will be here mid December. Then Roxy, Eve, and Tryptamine coming to stay with me for the SGNY New Year's Eve party. I have some cool things I am going to take them to later in that week as well, but I don't want to give that away just yet. And as if all that wasn't enough Nic flies in from England on the 10th for 8 days. I'm sure we will have a party for her visit as well. And then the most important date of the year... MY BIRTHDAY is in February. Um, someone else plan that one for me, ok?
Another party in Boston to celebrate that would be perfect.
Finally a mellow weekend for a change. The last four have been nuts. I need to give my body a break I think. Soon the holidays will be here and there will be more parties and craziness. I'm staying in tonight. I have the scented candles lit. It's nice and warm and my cat is sleeping on the couch. What a cutie. If only I had a snuggly girl to curl up next to this would be perfect. Oh well. I'm happy anyway.
Was that the thunder, or the storm before the thuder? Should I buy an umbrela, or a parachute?
Every time I seem to think I have the world in the palm of my hands it slips away as fast as it came. Recently things have been very good for me. I have had nothing to complain about, but the calm before the storm always scares me. One of my favorite books is Waiting for Winter, by John O'Hara. It is a collection of short stories where the endings are all so unexpected and not so pleasant. I feel like I am waiting for winter right now. That at any given moment everything that I am enjoying about life can come crashing down. I feel like I have to constantly look over my shoulder to make sure mr. death isn't stalking me. This is a strange and uncomfortable feeling for me. My balence is shifting. Maybe it was something I ate.
Tomorrow is the Boston party. I"m hoping to get the word out there about my New Year's Party. I know some folks are hesitant to travel so far just to party, but if you've seen the photos of any previous SG event, not just our NY ones you know they are worth it.
Yes! Another chance to update! I honestly cannot update my journal from home so please bear with my inconsistent additions to this section.
Well as you all know I had a blast in Portland if you had a chance to read My Trip to Portland thread. I met lots of great folks on the west coast. Partied with the best for five days straight.
Last night we had another SGNY part. It was wild of course. Dr_H and I met up at Why Curry?, but no one else had turned up for food. The original plans had gotten changed so many times I think there was some confusion as to what all was going to happen. We shot over to Three of Cups and started drinking and waiting on others to show up. Not long after We had a crowd of about ten folks bar hopping the Lower East Side. We ended chilling in Bar B and caught a live trip hop act that was incredible. They had a drum machine for the rhythmns, a electric stand up bass player, two different horn players, and a lyrcist. At some point through the night we probably had about 25 heads in our group. Not a bad turn out considering how screwed up the plans were.
Dr_H is one hell of a fella. I'm glad we were able to show him a good time. I hear he's headed to SF next so watch out kids. Nicole was a trip. She has some of the best tattoos I've ever seen, and is wicked cute. Neil treated his tequila habit to some 1800 and put himself in the right mood. Luna turned up and had drinks with up for about an hour until he had to head off to Brooklyn. Lil_Tuff's girl, Nicole came out to show some love. Very, very cool girl.
I love these parties. They bring out some great heads for a good time. I'm working on a big private SG party for New Year's Eve here in New York City. Hopefully it will have the same vibe as all the previous ones. Once I have all the details worked out I will post them on the boards.

SGNY... You missed it. The One Year Anniversary was brilliant. The performances were incredible, and I've met so many cool folks. I'll tell you all about it when I when I get home. I'm so tired. Nnnneed more drugs to stay awake.
