June 19 - xFakex Ella es tan linda.
And then on June 23rd I leave for Buenos Aires for 3 weeks. I'm dying for some empanadas, alfajors, vacio, choripan y morcilla con chimmichuri, Fernet con coca, and Argentine pizza. Plus I get to see Liu, Prussia, Spica, Casiopia, and Kya again. I also hope to meet Daff, Menta, and Forra. I'll be DJing on a live streaming website while I'm down there as well. Going to go to the Buenos Aires zoo. And going to a milonga to watch tango again. Should be an amazing trip.

Just bought tickets to go back to Buenos Aires. No, this isn't the big move yet, just another visit. It's taking me longer to save than I expected so I simply want to go back and have another amazing time there.
I'll be staying for 17 days, from June 24th through July 10th. I found a really cool little furnished apartment in Recoleta. It has a balcony that kind of resembles a Buddhist garden. I have a good feeling about this place. I'll probably try to write some songs while staying there. Muchas buenas ondas aca.

I'm looking forward to seeing the friends I made last time again, making some new ones, and hopefully getting a few DJ gigs lined up before I go. Last time I didn't have any set up and tried to get some organized while I was there, but it didn't work out.
I guess this time since I'm actually staying in Recoleta I have to go see the cemetery, even though I hate touristy things the locals told me it was a must see last time. I also hope to take in La Bomba de Tiempo, which I was supposed to see last time and missed. I want to hit another milonga and watch tango again, eat more steak, empandas, alfajores, dulce de leche, helado, pizza, choripan, morcipan, and I might even try the crocodile this time. And I want to see if all of the Spanish lessons I have been taking have paid off.
So get the Fernet ready I'll be on my way soon!!!!
Besos a todos.

Old School Music Lesson number 18 (I think)
SHOEGAZING - Shoegazing (also known as shoegaze) is a subgenre of alternative rock that emerged from the United Kingdom in the late 1980s. It lasted there until the mid 1990s, with a critical zenith reached in 1990 and 1991. The British music press—particularly NME and Melody Maker—named this style shoegazing because the musicians in these bands stood relatively still during live performances in a detached, introspective, non-confrontational state, hence the idea that they were gazing at their shoes. The heavy use of effects pedals also contributed to the image of performers looking down at their feet (shoegazing) during concerts.
The shoegazing sound is typified by significant use of guitar effects, and indistinguishable vocal melodies that blended into the creative noise of the guitars. Common musical elements of shoegazing consist of distortion, droning riffs and a "wall of sound" from noisy guitars. Typically, two distorted rhythm guitars are played together to give an amorphous quality to the sound. Although lead guitar riffs were often present, they were not the central focus of most shoegazing songs. Vocals are typically subdued in volume and tone, but underneath the layers of guitars is generally a strong sense of melody. However, lyrics are not emphasized; vocals are often treated as an additional instrument. While the genres which influenced shoegazing often used drum machines, shoegazing more often features live drumming.

Many of the SG on my favorites list have gone gray. Am I getting old or have I overstayed my welcome? Or maybe the newest SG just haven't done it for me.
In December, when I went to Buenos Aires I got stuck in Miami for 14 hours on the way down. My friend lives there and showed me around a bit. I had to go back down this weekend for a business meeting. And this time I was able to take photographs of the graffiti I mentioned in my previous blog.
At the beginning of December Miami held a festival called Art Basel and part of it allowed the city walls of a rough neighborhood to be painted legally by graffiti artists.
Beware I took a lot of photos. I really like graffiti.

I hope that was worth the scroll.
