Well, birthday is over. Had a blast, it was great. Climbing Gym friends threw a surprise birthday party for me on Friday.
The Incredibles was a great movie.
The Interpol concert was great. Someone couldn't show so I gave away a ticket to some guy standing outside...
I was sick as a dog though starting on Tuesday night. Started to get a sore throat, runny nose and all that. Got a fever of about 102. Saw my GF on Wednesday, Thursday, heck Friday and Saturday also. Funny how it becomes hard to keep it up when you are running a temp of 101.6 degrees... Was able to do what we both wanted to do though to everyone's satisfaction. Even after I got down to 99 degrees, the performance while passable was still not up to the usual par, so we didn't quite get the extended loud, noisy, exhuberent and vigorous sex that we were planning on, though we did get of it, just quieter and less athletic than I had planned.

Boy, I've been really bad at these journals as of late. Been a little tight on cash as of late because my brother is out of work and going to culinary school so I'm taking care of the housing costs myself. Sucks ass, but in the end well worth it if my brother in the end gets a job he likes.
I'm applying to Columbia to go back to school next year. Mebbe finally get me a college degree since I droped out after my first year the last time around.

So it's been a while, still busy running around and all that. Definately psyched for the Interpol concert and Pixie's concert. Still rock climbing, camping/hiking, diving and all that jazz.
Been a while, busy I guess. Running about climbing and diving. Prepping for the snowboarding season coming up also, just bought a season pass to Killington and one of those Stowe cards for the few days I trek up there.
Can't wait for the Interpol concert in November. Conveniently about my birthday. Go Scorpios!

Rainy weekend ruining plans...
Was going to go bouldering on Sat and Diving on Sunday but they both fell through.
Just dropped 3k on a nice dive scooter that I'm itching to try out. Ahh well, next weekend is a nice 3 day dive trip to North Carolina. Bitch of a drive for me though.

Yesterday driving to and from climbing at the Gunks I saw one of the most touching and saddest thing I've personally witnessed. In the morning at about 9:30am the side of the road was a dead fawn. Poor tiny little tyke probably was no taller than 2.5 to 3 feet at the shoulder.
Down the road about 100 yards on the side just in the shrubbery stood a Doe waiting and not moving except for an occasional eye/ear twitch.
At 7:30pm driving back to New Paltz, the Doe was still standing there, unmoving and waiting for the fawn which was still lay there dead on the side of the road just 100 yards away.

Went diving to the Eureka on the 19th, climbing up at the Gunks on the 27th, going up to the Gunks again on the 3rd and diving to the USN Algol on the 5th.
Been noshing on a problem I've been having with a friend. Not really a problem with them, but their problem that I want to help with. My friend lost their job for the summer, never really made much so doesn't have any savings. I want to help her out till she gets going again, but she's got pride so I don't think she would take it. I also think that she is a little sweet on me, definately NOT head over heels though. I don't want to wierd out the friendship by offering, either give her some thoughts I didn't intend or insult her. It's just that it hurts to see her in distress when I know I can help.
All well, it'll work out one way or another eventually.

The weekend up in Rumney was great. Lots of fun sport climbing, went flawlessly. Ironicly once I got back on Wednesday during my normal workout, I pulled my shoulder doing seated rows. It is not fun having your neck and shoulder spaz out just trying to support your head walking home... I took two days off for that, fortunately it mended up fairly quickly.
Went to Peterskill last Sunday for some trad climbing and bouldering. Was lots of fun. Headed up to Rumney this weekend in New Hampshire for a weekend of sport climbing!
