This is probably the best homework topic for me, ever! Because, my cat is basically my world!
My little princess has been in my life since I was four years old. That's eighteen years! Yes, my cat is eighteen! And she still looks like she's five!
Her legal name is M. Doughty. (Yes, she is named after Mike Doughty, the singer of Soul Coughing.) But she often goes by "Shaboo", "Mama", "Em", and "Ee". She knows all of her nicknames. Sometime I make up songs for her or change the words of actual songs. I find it entertaining. I'm pretty sure she gets annoyed with me sometimes cause I'm always in get face lovin on her, singing songs and taking pictures. When she gets pissed off she looks like this.
But most the time she is lovey dovey. She has slept with me (basically) every night since she was a kitten. When it's cold she sleeps under the covers with me, even. Every morning she wakes me up right around the time my alarm is supposed to go off, she then headbutts me until I give her substantial amounts of pets. She HATES when I have anyone stay the night (especially men) she will get in their face and meow at them if I leave them alone too. Probably saying "get the fuck out of my bed!" Haha.
She is still extremely active! She has a fuzzy mouse toy she absolutely loves. I remember when she was a kitten though, or younger anyway, and she would steal my Barbie clothes and chew on their hands. She would hide around corners and jump out at me when I would walk by. My mom tells me that she would watch out the window for my bus to go by and then sleep on my bed until the time I got home and then she would wait by the door. She still greets me when I come home.
M. Doughty is a special cat, she is a polydactyl, she has extra toes on both front paws.
Honestly, I can go on and on about my princess, but you would probably think I'm crazy. I justify my behavior by saying that I cannot be a crazy cat lady because I only have one. I am a dedicated cat mom. Simple as that. I treat her like my child. I love her with my whole heart. If you haven't noticed I have a portrait of her on my leg.
I don't remember a time without her.
She is my everything.
