So I just saw the Buzzcocks tonight, and well....They ruled. And I don't mean "ah those old men were pretty good, they held it together for a whole set" No. They fucking shredded, tore the goddamn roof off of the place for an hour an a half. Some out of this world next level they destroy just about anybody else shit, goddamn.

In other (sadder) news. Leatherface has had to cancel their US tour because they were unable to get back into the country. So this not only means I don't get to go see Leatherface tomorrow it means I may never get to see them. frown

Alright lets start this out with some good stuff. First off my blog Uncle Critic is now a year old, to mark this we've moved up in the world a bit and registered the domain - unclecritic.com is official! Check it out - a lot, be loyal readers.
Also if any of you have facebook pages you can add the Uncle Critic blog on facebook now, an easy way to keep up with updates - Uncle Critic's Facebook
The secondary Uncle Critic's Rantings is still rocking the wordpress domain but I'm considering them both inclusive at this point so....

Also I'm super fucking mega awesome excited for WOLFMAN which comes out next week, already rocking midnight screening tickets, it will be awesome.

Besides that things have been pretty fucking amazingly shitty for the past two weeks, I was going to go into that but instead I've decided to take the posi side of things so fuck that shit.

So I donno I guess that's really all I got for now since I cut that last part out - but peep the blog.

And in the spirit of being posi - Good Clean Fun!

Avoiding sleep (because I'm dumb) so I guess it's blog time.

Well first off I'm the biggest idiot ever because recently I turned down the change to take 3rd shift at my job. It would have been 10pm to 8 am, Thurs-Sun. The days were shit but the hours were great, higher pay, way less work and I'd get to not see people I hate at my job. But I turned it down for a shot to date this girl.

I got my new turntable in this week, so it's back to record listening for me biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Also got my new DVD shelves in, moved my entire DVD collection out of my room, moved my CD's and records and a dresser, I actually have room to walk now biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

If everything goes as planned this week, between working working working, date and a show I'll get about 20 hours sleep (of which I'm currently cutting into).

And last but not least here. Peep my blog as always http://unclecritic.wordpress.com/ But this time with a twist, I might be changing some things - removing some features. So help me make my choice for me and vote in the polls I made http://unclecritic.wordpress.com/polls/

Oh and I recently added a requests page to the blog, it's rad but unused so far.

And because Conan is getting fucked by Leno and NBC

I seem to be getting a lot of questions on the date a recently went on, so for anyone who doesn't know yet, here's the full tale.

So I went on a date with this chick, meeting her at some bar in DC.
First I leave a half hour early for traffic....that doesn't work because some jerk doesn't let me off at my exit on 295, then traffic in DC sucks then I cant find a place to park, so I'm like half an hour late.
I find a place to park, and for the first time in my life get lost in the parking garage, feeling like the dumbest motherfucker in the world I finally find my way out and into some sort of plaza building...which i get lost in. I find some random dude walking around, ask him how to get out, he tells me...I end up back in the parking garage. I make my back to the building yet again, see a broken escalator with doors to the outside at the top, so I say screw it and go up the broken escalator...the doors are of course locked. After more walking i finally find my way out
Then somehow I'm lost in DC, and it's cold outside. The place is like 1523 22nd st. I'm on 21 st. I get my way going right, get to 22 st and I'm on the 1100th block so I've got a while to walk (in the cold still).
I get there finally and the actual date part is cool and all (the bar super mega awesome rad).
We leave, walk to my car, where the garage has the iron curtain down and locked up. Great. So I walk her to the train cause she took the train down and...the train has stopped running for the night.
So we take a cab to her place, where I call my roommate in for the rescue.
Then he brings me back to DC in the morning to get my car. I get my car, go to leave, the ticket says it cannot be read, then it says its expired. So i have to drive around till I find someone there to let me pay my $23 to leave.

Top 20 albums of 2009
A couple notes first here. I'm leaving 'Iron Maiden: Flight 666' of the list here because Iron Maiden is in a league of their own and will always capture the top spot with an unfair advantage. Second note I'm also leaving off 'Death: For The Whole World To See' it was released this year but actually happened in the 70's, so I'm not sure if it qualifys. If I leave it on it would most likely be in the top 5 because it is amazingly awesome. Also I'm not including 4 that would have most likely made it, "R.A. the Rugged Man: Legendary Classics Vol 1", "Deep Sleep: Three Things At Once", "Psyched To Die: Year One" and "Drag the River: Bad at Breaking Up" because they are compilations. And lastly I'm not including "Judas Priest: A Touch of Evil: Live" because it is a live album.
