Johnny Cash in Colombo ???

I watch Colombo since long I can remember. But I recently learn that it is mostly the Colombo movies and the second generation tv show that I saw all my life. (in Montreal anyway)

So I decided to rent the 3 seasons of the first generation. In the third season I was amazed to see an episode with Johnny Cash in it And he's the killer !!!! he's really good in it and the murder is almost perfect.........but you know..........its Colombo..... wink

Maybe in the states you often saw that episode but I'm pretty damn sure it never aired here.

If you didn't - you have to see it........there's 3 complete song in it !!!!

Salaam Bombay

I am not a big fan of foreign movies. I often try it…..and I'm often disappointed. Maybe I lack the patience or the culture to appreciate it. Anyway….I have my favourites, French movies like La cite des enfants perdues, Ridicule or Amélie Poulin. But I have a foreign movie in my top 10. It's call Salaam Bombay. It's a film by Mira Nair, one of her first movies. (1988) She's the one who will direct Johnny Depp in Shantaram, Depp will play a Australian convict who escape from Australia to India and then enters the world of criminality. I can't wait to see that.

Salaam Bombay is a really great movie. It's not a Bollywood movie, no signing or dancing in this one. It is the story of a young Indian boy who gets kick out of his village because he broke the motorcycle of his brother. His mother tell him ; you come back only when you have the money to pay the bike. So Krishna goes to Bombay to work and earn money. Mira Nair tried to depict what happens to hundreds of Indian boy's and girls everyday. There's no happy ending but this film is magic, a glimpse of what many many Indian children goes through when they leave their village.

Try it and come back to me

Organic Cotton

The availability of organic cotton is growing. On the website of The Beastie Boys you can buy some of their t-shirts made with organic cotton. Ethnies and other BMX and skateboarding companies are going that way.

When you don't know about it you may think it's a little silly to be preocupied by something like that. But then you learn about the facts…damn…

- Twenty-five percent of all insecticides is applied to cotton.
- The chemicals used in the processing of cotton pollute the air and surface waters.
- Residual chemicals may irritate consumers' skin.
- Two hundred chemicals might be applied to a single cotton plant in one season in the Unites States. This translate to a third of a pound of chemicals per pound of cotton fiber.
- One and a quarter pounds of agricultural chemicals are used in California to produce the conventionally grown cotton in a single set of queen-sized sheets.
- If all cotton were grown organically, the use of insecticides worldwide would be reduced 25 percent.

You may have a store who sell organic cotton in your city. It's a little more expensive ( it need more human work ) but the more well buy it the less it will cost. If you don't have a store like that in your town or if you live in the woods you can always buy with ; kushtush.com / coyuchi.com (look at the little documentary) / organicclothes.com and check out this site for everything on organic cotton ; sustainablecotton.org

Last year I treated myself with some coyuchi organic sheets and covers. It is the finest quality I have ever seen. Attention to details and made strong, thick but soft.

Try it and come back to me. smile
