HAPPY NURSES WEEK! <3

So tomorrow I have an appointment with a sleep specialist... it should be interesting. Lately I can't fall asleep without feeling overwhelmed with worry and I have awful restless legs.

I just wish my brain would shut off for like... five seconds.

On another note, I watched a controversial documentary today regarding antineoplaston therapy. I don't know how I feel about the whole thing. I feel like companies and corporations take advantage of people in fear of losing someone they love to cancer. I 100% believe that science has found cures to many cancers but refuses to release information because of pharmaceutical companies and the huge profit that they make from chemotherapy. It's sad... but from a business standpoint it makes sense.

Today I feel alone ....

I don't understand how it's possible to live in a city with 3 million people and feel so alone. I'm constantly surrounded by new faces but I can't help but feel more lonely than I have in my entire life. Moving here has certainly provided me the opportunity to expand my career but at what cost ? To be so far away from my family and friends... To feel like I have nothing and no one around me? I wonder how things would be different had I not moved 600kms away from home.

That's kind of why I like SG so much ... The community, and the new friends I am trying to make. Although I don't know any of you in person I can honestly say that I appreciate anyone I have met here. Sometimes I feel like an outcast in the sea of people and then I log online and find that I'm not so alone.

I guess all I really need is a big hug. Sigh

Going back into the past.... all of these songs make me feel sixteen again <3 (and reminds me of my first Mp3 player which was the size of a brick)

So today was a pretty good day... well it started off good. I decided that because of the change in weather, and the incredible increase in animal fur that exists in my apartment, that I would give both my cat and dog baths. Needless to say my cat (Zoe) did not appreciate me trying to help her smell better. She did well... untill I turned the shower head on and she freaked the fuck out. I have a few battle wounds... but a very nice smelling kitty.

On the other hand... my dog (Matty) is fabulous in the bath and does exactly what I say! But never fails to beg for a cookie after.
