SHARP, MELANIE KAY – age 40 of Knoxville passed away Thursday, March 8, 2012. She was a member of Third Creek Baptist Church. Preceded in death by grandparents, Isaac N. and Janie Mae Dockery, H.A. and Lula Sharp. Survived by father and mother, Franklin D. and Norma Sharp, brother Donald and wife Sherry Sharp, beloved niece; Zoe Sharp, special aunts; Gertie and Laurie Dockery, and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Family will receive friends Saturday, March 10, 2012 from 5-7 at Weavers with a chapel service to follow at 7 pm. Dr. Rocky Ramsey officiating. Family and friends will meet Monday, 9:45 am at New Gray Cemetery for a 10:00 am interment. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in memory of Melanie Sharp to Third Creek Baptist Church, 4917 Western Ave., Knoxville, TN. 37921.

Many people have many different ways of dealing with grief. Mine is crying and tattoos. My artist said to tell you a final fairwell for him as well. So Godspeed my Kitty Angel.

I have no words for the ache in my heart. You have fought the good fight. May you have the peace and comfort that were denied you at the end of your short life. Your wit and smile touched so many of us in the SG community. Thank you for sharing your life, your spirit with us. I will see you again when I walk down that lonesome road someday.
