I have listened to this song about 50 times in the last few days. Her voice has such a peaceful quality. And she is an actress at that. It is from the soundtrack of the movie Mo' Better Blues which is a great movie in which Denzel Washington stars as a jazz trumpet player named Bleek. One of his finest performances. Been to many a dirty, dark, grimey club with sticky floors and open piped ceilings with lots of reverb and lots of sweat which has always been my preference. But songs like this make me wanna dress up and spend a night with good jazz, good friends and dare I say good wine...uh... err... ok, i'll drink my rolling rock out of a wine glass.
