Two things:
1) I just saw some bull shit Tommy Lee video that might as well have been a duet with Britney Spears. I hope the ink on his arms drains out of the pussy he now has in his throat and he chokes and dies. I was waiting (read: hoping) for a Carrie-esque scene where NSYNC or Charlotte's Web would pour blood over his back-floating wimpy ass, ruining his flowing white draping and crystal clear pool. I call Jihad on popular music.
2) I am sick of straightedgers. Not that I have a problem with sobriety or anything, but these people rank up with the Jehovahs in my book. They are typically the most hypocritical, unknowledgeable and defensive people one could ever meet. If you tell me to do something, I'm going to ask why; don't get all sad and hopeless because I didn't say okay.
I drink -- pretty often at times -- but, by this new sXe definition, I am just as straightedge as a lot of these fucks and they have no ability to see things my way. I drink but don't have sex (nor have I in some 2 and a half years); they don't drink but do have sex (often habitually with random people). Pick and choose all you want, fuckos, but I have less of a chance to poison myself with alcohol than you do with pussy or dick.
Most importantly, don't fucking tell or pressure me about it. I have alcohol backing me; I won't hesitate kicking your ass.
I quit smoking, but you wont see some Ex-Smoker tattoo on my throat. In fact, I usually encourage people to continue smoking because quitting sucks. I was vegetarian (for 10+ years). I was the true to MT's straightedge for a couple years after I broke away from drugs. And I still won't touch anything besides alcohol (this includes all medication besides Tylenol, NyQuil and Mucinex, even -- something my Xanax or Ambien-consuming sXe acquaintances don't see any wrong-doing in). And, like I said above, Ive been doing that whole celibacy thing for quite a while... but Im not going to go on about it unless you ask, Im cracking a joke about myself or until I go off on a rant, like I am right now.
Lastly -- and what prompted this particular rant -- is something I hate MORE THAN ANYTHING involving sXe: when tattooed (especially heavily tattooed) straightedgers say they choose straightedge because they don't want to poison their body. Am I wrong in thinking inks are typically a combination of chemicals, like plastics, metals, dirt and such?
Get a fucking clue! At least alcohol is mostly grains and water.
