You just made me want to drink something fizzy and party my ass off, for whatever reason. Must be flashbacks to that whole late 80s/ 90s hazy period. A period accompanied by very short skirts, very high heels, gloves, sparkles, lots of hair spray, and loads of fizzy drinks, before grunge had to go and spoil it all.

As a foreigner I suppose I look with different eyes from the core readership but when I clicked onto the Houston Chronicle website (chron.com because who has the time or the spelling expertise to type "Houston Chronicle"?) the two items that immediately caught my eye were:

Yeah, things are pretty okay for me.

Feeling quite peaceful at the moment despite things being manic at work. I'm thankful that I can leave all that at the door and not bring it home with me. Some people just stress and stress about work type stuff. Not me thankfully.

So no major life lessons for me at least over the past month or so. It seems like you've been away longer. I'm glad you're back.
