My account is about to expire, I dont think I'll renew it. Its been fun, Ive seen some amazingly pretty girls, some spectacular photography, and had a little fun on the boards. I think its a really well put together community site, and as a web designer/portal site owner (deathrock.com) I really appreciate that aspect. Other than that, the main reason I joined was because I knew that 2007 was going to be a slow year for me womanwise. So a little distraction from that was good. I dont think its helped my perception of women overall though, It made it all too easy to put the gorgeous girls on this site up on a pedestal in my mind, meanwhile making women in reality pale in comparison. But, trying to avoid a love-life, I guess I got what I wanted. Its possible my membership would be extended if any of my Photography gets accepted to the site. But 2008 is going to be less refelctive than 2007; Im going to be putting my money where my mouth is and launching these projects I've been developing. The Band, Revamping my Websites, and launching a clothing line. And yet more Travel.
Other good news, I am finally getting new ink after having put it off for a few years. No time, money, ideas. Finishing it today in New Jersey. Tomorrow I'm back in home Berlin. November was a good month with a lot of travel. Prague, Berlin, Halle, New York, and Toronto. Not to mention a few small towns in Jersey and Pennsylvania along the way. Saturday night DJing in New York was the most fun and Succesful set I've spun in a long time, that was a nice homecoming to New York City. But Toronto really blew me away. Such a fascinating city. A ton of fun shops and great creative people.

So thats the latest photographic evidence of my existence. I mean, I know *I* need it, theres a GG Allin song Ive been listening to a lot lately that matches that sentiment:

Fallin' in love is one free ride
Spending my time getting high
Never know what you expect from me
The worst you get is the best you see
I'm going crazy am I really alive
If everyone fallow us do we ever survive
I sometimes wonder if I get up dead or alive
Used to be a spaceman
To far out to neverland
Enjoy it like it nothing knew
But this is heaven and hell and we don't let through
Used to be to blind to see
Destroy everythings infront of me
People stand and ask me why
Will I get up alive or will I die
well im back in NJ for the holidays, i havent been back in a while. but it was nice to see so many familiar things again, although the US feels like a totally different place now. past day and a hlaf has been with mom and my brother catching up, but tomorrow im heading out and probably hang out in manhattan. tell you the truth around 10pm i started to get a little bored, but didnt want to bother trying to find a place to go in the Montclair/Orange area.
After Thanksgiving Im headed to Toronto. Back in Berlin by December 14th. Im hoping to find the money to make it to LA before then.
I submitted the set i shot for Hermetist finally, and all the paperwork, but I was pretty dissatisfied with my work on it, due to a camera SNAFU (aka LOST!). i havent heard back about it yet, but ill shoot another one and im sure itll be better. Wish me luck!
Heres some pics from Prague a few weeks ago. I love that city, despite the tourist overload. This time at the Mucha museum there was a Dali exhibit that was fantastic.

I posted a new blog today on my main website, deathrock.com, with choc-full-o-music, film and art tips. Link to a new DJ Splatter Compilation Download. Rocknroll, Postpunk, Punkrock and more genres than you can shake a stick at. Just a glimpse into at a bohemian drunken lifestyle, cause I live the Dream, so you dont have to. Devouring new and old tunes, guzzling the finest and swilliest of boozes, and munching the cheapest pastas, pizzas and kebaps... In Berlin or elsewhere.
Im planning my next trip to the USA, definitely hitting NJ and NY for family, but im working on Toronto and LA as well. mostly a vacation, but a few DJ gigs would be most welcome.

im back to spending some more time online again. it was a nice little vacation while my laptop was on the fritz.
last month i worked a lot, but i mustve spent it all on:
records
coffee
moving across town
pizzas, bratwurst, and junk food (no kitchen = no cooking)
i dont pay for drinks often so it cant be that...
im making a new update finally to my deathrock.com blog, rather than doing another here, ill just cover SG / rockstar related materials. ive been djing a shitload, especially at some events with gene serene where i got to meet the very impressive character of Manko! Temper was also in attendance, they proceeded to get totally pissed, naturally!

but ive been djing so much, that i have a few dj comps for you that im posting soon. now that ive got this moving thing settled, i can get back to the regular program of going crazy as a dj, writer, webmaster, designer, tshirt designer, movie geek, meat eater and general freak.
yetserday i djd a parade that cut through the heart of berlin, called 'FuckParade' (the cynical rebuttal to the sickeningly techno 'Love Parade'. amongst all the freaks, weirdos and misanthropes playing music from goa to gabber to powernoise and yes, thanks to the trashcave folks and myself, punkrock and NDW. i swear, theres nothing like playing 'collapsing new people', 'heroes' (in german) and these are the things that dreams are made of' to a crowd of people dancing in the streets. one of those moments in life that make you glad to be alive.

i ran into matthias disturbanity.com on the street and we went for a siamese peanut soup that was fucking delicious! it was a quick saturday night though, i went home and crashed, but i was fresh for the flea markets today.

no signs of life from DJ splatter... ive been djing as usual, i found a great russian bar to dj at with a rockin set of hot bartenders and great owners who love my sets, great vodkabar and cool atmosphere for both chill and rocknroll sets. i watched 'night on earth' at an indie theatre last week and it really pumped some life back into me.
lifes been a lesson of living without for the past few weeks. no money, no power, no sleep, no love, no tunes, no internet, no computer. i need change. ive been having a blast hanging out with english friends gene and her london crew, marc and susan from Gobsausage/ Charles of London and their cohort mr. atomic. we were all at bar25 and i had some coctail with mdma in it. my lip wouldnt stop twitching, and i became ultra irritable and aggressive - on the way home i wanted to turn some 16 year old thugs head into wall pizza. cross that drug off the list! mom, arent you proud?
today i sat at the lake and everyone got naked. i was too bashful. maybe next time! swimming was great though. nothing like the LA beaches though. as laid back as my life may seem, im telling you man, i need a vacation that doesnt involve all the usual uncertainties and madness of when i take a dj trip. or a passport check. by the way, fuck the UK.

holy hell ive been fucking busy. so many projects, too bad that so few have immediate payoff. so ive been damn broke, as busy as ive been. luckily ive started bartending to pick up some extra cash. and guess what. im as good behind the bar as i am propped up against it!!! (no, not at drinking, at serving, smartass!)
finally got some silk screens finished. my website is coming along. ive been writing like mad, so i think a band is in the near future. i really dont know if a dj tour through the US is going to materialize as soon as august. but i havent given up yet.
i shot Hermetist two weeks ago for my first potential SG set. Its quite amateur but a learned a shitload, and im ready to give it another go with some one here in Berlin (or maybe UK as it turns out i may be back in London in a few weeks). ive been crossing things off of my lifelong or yearlong goals list like clockwork, all in the past few months like ive got a fire lit under my ass.

oh! hallelujah, sun, thank you for coming out once today- right in my fucking face! you bastard. its been overcast all day. i sit down at the cafe to lounge for a bit and sudenly the sun is blinding me. just my luck. well. ive been awake since a long time ago. but im back to cranking out some major accomplishmentsm albeit some selfish ones... i was awake all night creating dj mixes now that i finally have a setup for it. i present you with
The Creep Vol. 1 (v0.9)
for your preview pleasure. Its a revision version of one of my theme mixes. The story behind this one? I'm a fucking creep and a low down rotten scoundrel. These songs have been my soundtrack for over a year now if not longer. They sum up my antisocial, miscreant, misanthropic behaviors and offer a little peek inside my head. And if your a friend of mine, i think you can identify, so you'll enjoy it, too. If you download this 61min. (56MB, 128kbps .mp3 - only meant for ipod or promo use, if you want the actual songs buy em on iTunes or at your record dealer!) DJ mix (single track) mix, please leave me feedback (love it, hate it, too loud, glitches, too soft, etc). Its still got some work to go before i start posting it everythwhere, but nearly done. Im glad to finally have it available as a DJ mix. I released it a few months ago as separated files, but the tracking didnt register, and it certainly wasnt DJ mixed.
but now i find myself in one of those moods, blissful and oblivious to stresses... definitely after learning a new skill and how to accomplish dj mixes to post online. i met up with a friend and her tattoo artist today to talk about getting a new peice done. im really hungry for more ink since a few months now. im fucking tired, crossed with highly caffeinated. do not taunt happy fun ball.

ive been laying quite low the past week, trying to crank out some projects and keep busy. last week i began cooking my own tomato sauce, which was a lot of fun and damn tasty. place your orders for a jar of Splatter Sauce now! in both meat and veggie varieties
what else? i began writing again, music reviews precisely, and a huge update to my webzine, http://www.deathrock.com. that was a lot of work writing php code and editing graphics. also started writing film synopsises for some small film projects. i was going to start filming lofi film clips with my little cam. but disaster struck. coming home from a screening of Nosferatu with a improv soundtrack by what turned out to be a quite well known pair of musicians, i lost the fucker somehoiw on the late night M10 tram. its possible it was stolen by the shady kid who sat next to me, but i havent eliminated the possibility that it simply slipped from my pocket. this fucks everything, actually. now i have no way of shooting films, these video podcasts ive been prepping to release since february, no way of practicing shooting models for clothing, possibly photographing a set to SG, no way of continuing to collect textures and elements for my graphic designs. no camera for shooting live bands. no device for recording my radio voice overs.
looking on the brightside, now i can get a better camera with a hotshoe (which is the major downside to my late camera) and start building a digiSLR kit. all for all im happy with what i managed to accomplish, but i still havent forgiven myself for a €300 blunder. this afternoon i mainly worked on some DJ mixes. ill share it in my next blog.
Here's some shots from an art exhibit for Coldstore/Factory Berlin I went to last week, i really loved the audio installations, they reminded me of this cat I used to work with in Hollywood, j.frede:

its been ages since i posted last, but ive been living it up, and actually getting action for once. ive been kicking it around in prague for the past few days, had an awesome DJ gig at the blind eye and ran into lots of my czech friends and made some new ones as well. there was this girl creeping around behind the dj booth while i was getting another drink, so i asked her if i could help her. her shirt was totally open! she wasnt into it though! but i got totally wasted with marika, ben and theresa, and the owner of the bar loved my set, i will definitely be back there asap!
now back onto a train, home to berlin. i havent been home for 9 weeks. i fear the state of my room! oh, and i dj yet again the same night of my return. the money will be handy, since i only have a few euros left from my trip. next years tour will be more prepared and more informed! london, milan, rome, vienna and prague can all look forward to more mark splatter shennanigans. and im excited to start working on getting some new ink. but all the years ive been in berlin, i still dont know many tattoo artists.
