HAPPY NEW YEARS!

Spent new years in Amsterdam at friends party, It was one of the best new wyears eves ive had in a while! Although last years was just bizarre, this time just at a private party, drinking lots of beer and champagne, watching fireworks on the street (they even filled a dummy with explosives and lit him on fire in the middle of the street!) and good food and good music!
I learned a lot in 2006, so 2007 is going to be a great year, as i cultivate all that I learned.

i think im a little drunk...

last night i was DJing at the KingKongKlub, had a great night, Julia even showed up from Münster unexpectedly. It was sort of an art showing (DVD projection on repeat) of Matthias (disturbanity.com) who was also there. great news is he's moving to Berlin! anyway... today i woke up and by the time i was out of bed it was pitch black by 5pm. holy crap. and i had the strangest feeling all day. still feel it, too. i dont know if its dread or elation. what the hell is up?

This weekend I was in for a long night writing some articles and formatting some photos from recent shows but then I got a call to fill in for Steve DJing since he's in Spain. So I grabbed a bag of records and shot off to the White Trash in a cab and DJ'd for the Sexo Y Droga show til 6 or 7am in the morning. For a set with only half the records I usually have it came off really well, even came up with some great mixes that made me really excited.

But, some asshole ran off with my leather jacket. FUCK! I was so upset, I even got distracted and lost the great groove I was in... Trying not to think about the SUCK that was to be without a jacket in the middle of Berlin winter. And it was my leather! That I bought in Berlin and has been all over the world than me. Ive had fewer leather jackets than Ive had homes. It IS my home. Luckily there was nothing of cash value, just my sketchbook/journal... Losing one of those is like losing a loved one. Ive had that happen before...

But lo and behold... I asked the night manager to have an eye out for the prick that nicked it... and a few hours later he taps me on the shoulder wearing my beloved second skin, intact, nothing missing. They found it in the ladies room. Unfortunatley there were no loveletters inside.

Then I crashed out completely till earlier today, pretty much.
