Something that really bugs me is the stupidity that emanates from so many people especially the stuff floating in from the intelligent "elite" at college. The group I hung out with in my home town were all the self imposed cast outs. The "uncool" kids that were neither true nerds nor musclebound jocks. Granted we had nerd tendencies such as video games, computer modding, anime, and the like but we weren't the social retarded type of nerd. We did shit outside (gasp), we blew shit up, we defied categories. More than anything we were the true individuals of kids our age there. The preps and jocks made up the rest of the school including the punk population in that the popular style at school was punk but no one that dressed like that was truly a punk.
Here at college however, almost no one is accepting. A lot of people are so obsessed with succeeding that they will stub their noses at anything that doesn't jive with that obsession. Everyone has a chip on his shoulder. Everyone will view you as if your beneath her. Everyone will give a social commentary without first trying to understand the subject of said social commentary. It's like listening to angry old people.
Granted not even close to everyone is actually like that. But those who do are the ones I find dealing with the most and half the time I want to shoot my brains out.
I've found that college students love labels. Most college students must label what type of people their friends are. I personally hate labels and don't understand why some people are so dependent on them.
I'm going to end this rant now since I have no real congruent theme to it and I am in a way being a hypocrite.

College is such a short time in your life. Don't let it consume you. Don't let it be your "be all and End all."
