Here is my Wednesday Morning Rant. Maybe because its the beautifully christened new dawn of a Humpday, and I aint Humpin today, but lately this really grinds my gears...
Its called a Courtesy Call people. When you miss a call, you call back as a damn courtesy. I'll even accept a text back like "Yo, you call?''
Maybe im overthinking how good our friendship really is? Maybe Im missing some signs because im obsessed with all your good qualities? Maybe you're just in class or at work and cant answer directly in front of your proff or supervisor.
Whatever happened to appreciating the warmth of another humans voice over the phone or God forbid even in person?
Why are people just so busy all the time now?
Why is it so much easier and convenient to reach someone via text when they could have just picked up the phone? (Don't answer that one, it contains rhetoric)
You know what? You're right. Its simpler, easier and more convenient to text. Thats why its so popular.
Fuck what I just said though. Its lazy. Its becoming soulless, and a whole lot less personal. Its killing the Art of the Conversation.
I don't even use voice mails anymore, just hang up and text the person I'm trying to reach. WHEN I start leaving voice mails, that's a sign, you need to call me. For those that even check their voice mails anymore.
Call me back. Dont make me use your voicemail. It could get messy.
