So, school started back on Monday. I can't say I was too disappointed, since I want to keep this ball that I call life rolling in some sort of direction.
I am currently taking Chemistry w/Lab, World Literature, and Spanish II. I'm taking the World Lit. and Spanish II online. This is the first time I have ever taken online classes, but it seems like it's going to be relatively easy. All I do is submit all my work online and go up to the school of my choice to do the testing. My literature class seems super easy, just a lot of reading assignments, but not much else. I have three tests and they are only 30 minutes each, multiple choice. Woot!! I really like being able to work at my own pace, getting up to use the restroom without missing anything, and actually getting some homework done in my spare time while I'm at work. I have to say, it's rather convenient.
So, I THINK I've finally decided what I want to be when I grow up
I've pretty much settled on two career paths, criminology or education. I know, I know, it seems like I change my mind at the drop of a hat, but my heart has always been in three areas, two of them more than the third (nursing, criminal justice, education). Hopefully, after doing some extensive research and interviews, I will decide exactly which route I want to take.
Man, there are so many things I want to do right now, finding the ability to not be lazy about it is the main obstacle getting in my way. I have to juggle work, school, and leisure(and I'm not too good at giving each one their due time). There are four books that I want to read. All but one just happen to be of the religious flavor. I am currently reading the illustrated version of "The Da Vinci Code", but I would also like to read "Finding Darwin's God", "Blue Like Jazz", and "Memoirs of a Geisha" (which I have sitting at home and it's taking everything I have not to start that one too). I need to get the book read before I see the movie (which stars two of my favorite actresses, Ziyi Zhang and Michelle Yeoh.
In other news, I am wanting to get the black out of my hair again (even though I always seem to go back to black). I've been wanting my hair to be a reddish-orange for a while now, just don't want to damage my hair too badly doing it. I can't stand the roots though and I have so many silvery-grey hairs *sigh*

Anyway,
I had plenty of downtime yesterday at work because the system that we use was undergoing some maintenance. We knew that when it came up we were going to be slammed so I pretty much got lunch out of the way so that I could prepare for all the hell that would ensue. So.........
The database finally comes up and what does one of my co-workers do? Yea, you guessed it. Like any other lazy and selfish co-worker that I 've ever had to work with, she sends out a message saying "Lunch." I about shit bricks right then and there. I got up and ran over to her desk and I'll be fucked if she didn't just teleport out of her seat, but that bitch was gone. I made it known to my supervisors that I was not too pleased and informed them that I was all by myself over on my "team" and that I was quite aggravated.
So, I walk back over to my desk and there are two other members of my team sitting there (one is extremely slow and the other was on lunch). Luckily, the one that was on lunch jumped in to help (he's a REALLY good employee). He could tell I was really pissed off because he said, "it feels like it's increased in temperature by 10 degrees." (It probably did, I was fuming) I wanted to say something to her or to my management so bad but I already know it wouldn't do any good; I kept my mouth shut after that.
This whole rant leads me to ponder something. Why does it seem like only 5% of the population has some kind of work ethic and the rest don't? And, can you imagine how productive our society would be if people actually cared about their job, their co-workers, and did their job in a timely manner? It simply just blows my mind at how shitty and inconsiderate people can be. RAWR!!!!!!!!!!!

So, yesterday I get home around 7:30pm and decide to take a little nap. Well, that little nap turned into sleeping until 10:20am this morning. I am sooooo freakin' out of it I can barely type right now; no clue how I did that but man am I jacked up today.
I'm trying to figure out how much money I can actually spend in New York. There are so many things that I want to do, I just hope I have enough time to do them all.
List of things I want to see:
(we are staying on Long Island)
Statue of Liberty
Central Park
American Museum of Natural History
Ground Zero
China Town
Greenwich Village
Empire State Building
Times Square
Museum of Modern Art
Metropolitan Museum of Art..............
Fortunately, most of these places have websites, so I can at least figure out admission. I'm so excited I can hardly wait!!! I really need a vacation; getting tired of working my ass off and not seeing the world (or at least, the US).

So, yea..........um, I guess I've been somewhat neglectful with this thing, but anyone that is actually a friend of mine sees me on a regular basis anywayz. But, for those acquaintances out there, here's a quick update.
I had another stellar performance at school last semester (well, stellar for the actual effort i put into it). I made my first B *sigh* but it was bound to happen with all the slacking I did last semester. I will probably only be able to attend two classes next semester since I work full time in Alpharetta.
Oh yea, by the way, I got a new job (thank god) about 2 months ago. It's at HP and it's totally awesome. My pay is great, I get two weeks paid vacation a year plus all bank holidays, WOOT!!!!!! We just started a contest two weeks ago at work and I've already won first and second place, I rule!!!!!!!! I'm pretty sure I'm going to get first this week too. I just can't stand being bored at work so I work my little ass off.
I went to the beach last weekend to try and get some sun on my legs. I used SPF 45 but I still came out like a potato. I was so freaked out about the sun that I put like 2 layers of sunblock on my face and tattoos, re-applying every hour or so. I have these faint little rings around my tattoos where you can tell they got a little extra special care. I itch like a mother fucker though.
My boyfriend and I are getting along fabulously. My brother starts a new dj night tonight at Earthlink Live so I will be going to check that out. We are going to check out the Asian culture festival tomorrow at Botanical Gardens. That should be hella fun considering how much I love many different things about many different asian cultures.
anyways, maybe I will update sooner than I did last time, we'll see.

So..................it's been a while. Me and the new guy are doing great. We get along so unbelievably well, which makes me extremely happy. He's everything I could have hoped for and more, he surprises me everyday. I met his mom today which is something I normally do a lot later in a relationship. She seemed to take to me though, right after we left she text msged him saying that I was "great." I don't think I want to torture him though and have him meet my mom
.
School is almost out thank god. I have been the slackest mother this semester, I truly don't know what my deal is. I've just been so manic lately that I just want to have fun at any cost (well, almost any cost, I won't fly to Hawaii and take all my friends with me).
Saw Sin City. The movie kicked ass and was Hot, hot, hot!!!
Anyways, just thought I would do a crappy, short update. I must go, go, go.
