I have had a disproportionate amount of downtime lately, during which I have had the pleasure of enjoying Netflix's original series "House of Cards."
A little understanding: I did study film-making and the anthropology of storytelling, so when it comes to tv and movies I feel at least somewhat qualified to share my opinions.
In this case, I have to say I am impressed. It is an interesting look at the world of politics, or at least the give and take therein. I cannot attest to its accuracy, but the storytelling itself is very real-world, and it definitely portrays how most of us probably see congress at this time. I also like Kevin Spacey in this, probably his best role since American Beauty.
Highly suggested for fun!
