So I've been shooting some photography at the last couple of flyball tournaments. The picture above was taken 2 tourneys ago, and it inspired me to shoot primarily portraits and photos of people starting their dogs. I'm nowhere close to being able to shoot the fast stuff Sam does:
but, I can catch the starts. I sold quite a few photos at this last tourney, and there's nothing like quick $$ in your hand to encourage you to do more of something!
Man, this place is dead! Or at least the SGNC feels really dead. I guess I can't talk since I'm not contributing a lot these days seeing as all my attention is on school and crazy road-trip-filled weekends.
Tomorrow: Big plant biology test.
This weekend: Yet another road trip to South Carolina, only this time it's business. Flyball business, anyhow.
I have done almost all the studying today/tonight that I can. But, I am just worried about my chances enough to squeeze in a bit more notecard memorization. *sigh*
I am feeling good these days. The change in weather for the cooler leaves me feeling a bit refreshed, and slightly more energetic. So much so that I have decided to dust off my bike (only mine is grey and about 10 years old) off and start riding to school at least 2-3 times a week! Gotta get a new lock, light and backpack first though.

It was a long weekend of driving and sun! We did a roadtrip of the South Carolina coastline, hitting such gems as Myrtle Beach, Charleston and Hilton Head. Witnessed and celebrated an ex-boyfriend getting married. I am exhausted! (and I'm really hoping that the head and earache I have is not indicative of an oncoming head cold!)

Hmm, What new? Not much. Well, actually, Sam and I managed to make some new friends recently. And.... They live in Raleigh! Score! We met them (a nice, young couple hailing from Idaho by way of Michigan) at the Farmer's Market restaurant one Saturday. Last week we had a fun having dinner and drinks with them, and now have plans for more. Making new friends is always nice, no matter what age you are. But, sometimes I think it is especially nice when you're married and in you're thirties because it gets so much harder to meet people.
And, the darling Perla just had a birthday on 9/11, so go wish her well and send her love! I had the pleasure of seeing her ever so briefly on her special day, and she was radiant in a gorgeous green top with freshly did hair!

This weekend we drove down to attend SouthernBelle's birthday party in Charlotte. We've been bad and missed all the others, so we had to go this time!
I figured we should take some back roads and maybe hit some wineries on the way. So, we invited kriss and not_tom for the road trip and went wine tasting. It was fun, but Sam said none of the pics were good, so, sorry, no photos!
Anywho, then we hit the party and much, much, much fun was had. Also, a little alcohol was had, including my homemade blueberry vodka. (made with Smirnoff).
Sam had some Maker's Mark:

Sam got to feel like a ladies' man
And there were smiles all around!
