Alas, the first real thunderstorm of the season. People are probably cursing themselves for the flowers they planted throughout the past few weeks, but hey, it's their faults. Aren't you supposed to wait until after May 15th or something? The Ides of May? Oh well. Had I the chance to plant a garden, I probably would've by now as well.
The felines are freaking out because of the thunder. They've decided to take cover in the bathroom, because since it's the only place here without windows, it's obviously the safe choice. I'm pretty sure they're convinced that it's tornado season.
The smell of the rain's bringing back memories of past summers, long road trips, and the good, earthy smell of horses and sunshine. Yeah, strange that a storm would make me think of sunshine. It's odd where my mind travels sometimes. I hope that it rains well into the night.
Faren's just left to go to work. She stayed the night and we grabbed breakfast early, after she woke and wouldn't let me drop back into my dreams. It's fine, though, because we got to spend more of the morning together. We work almost the same shift today and she's off tomorrow, so more fun will probably ensue.
I haven't really had the chance to stretch here in my shiny new account, so I'm going to check out some groups and see if I can find more girls to favorite. Friend me if you'd like!
