Sorry to hear this. Can you get your money back on your ticket? If she's open to talking, I say go for it. Get your work done, visit some friends etc. If she doesn't want to talk things out, I say stay away. You're just going to cause yourself more anguish seeing her again.

Facebook is the worst for breakups. I make a point of shutting people off so I can't see them. If you have mutual friends it makes it hard to ignore people

Nah, she is open to much else that 'talking' but she said she is firm on her convictions... I canceled the ticket, I know I couldn't handle the whole situation... So, I guess i am following that advice and staying away... I did have a good night with another young prof though, pizza and then mass quantities of pabst at Asbury Lanes...literally a 60's bowling alley transformed into a punk club/bar... I even got to talk to the gal in charge of booking and we know a few of the same people... But... I really thing that I am running out of patience or time or I dunno.... after 32 years... I am soooo tired K... I don't know what to do anymore
