i miss my dad.
and this is why.

he would have had this up in a half an hour. it took me over 2 hours to put a bracket arm and tv up on the wall.
it made me miss him a lot last night. thinking about being a gimp at d.i.y. which meant little or no sleep. its 5 years since he passed away.
i guess its meant to be easy.

dentists i hate going, but its a neccesity. all those years smoking did some damage which has only started to repair in the last year. so i guess i get to keep a full set of gnashers. so i had the appointment at 8.30 this morning. i still have an ache in my gumline afte the probing and cleaning. shudder. i'm never a wuss when im getting it done 'cos i like being macho in front of the dentist and her assistant (both female). such an ass . its a man thing ladies! hee hee. so here i am in work with a nice shiny smile. now where's the chocolate at?

so went to howth on a date yesterday. big mistake. ita a small fishing village, on a penninsula in dublin, one way in, one way out. it took an hour and 15 minutes to get too. we laughed about it, ha ha. then we went on a walk around the harbour. got some ice cream cones and had a wander around the market. everything was going good up too when we went to leave. the traffic was chaotic. we were stuck trying to get outa the place for a full hour, then traffic heading home took another 40 minutes. by the end of the date she was giving mono-syllabic answers to any question put to her.
if i get a next time, i will have to plan a better date.

as an aside, i could have gone to podge and rodge tv show and been in the audience yesterday (callum best and fiona looney were the guests) . but i didn't.

ah well. start the week afresh.

i was shite go-karting, as predicted. i was 4th last out of 20. . and the only reason i got that placing was because 3 lads wiped each other off the track. . so im mostly listening to the coronas, san diego song.

i love pancakes. and pancake tuesday was this week. i ate 9 pancakes and felt very ill. i did the food swap shop and sent off my sweets, to the states. i'm out saturday and sunday nights with work. and we are heading go-carting mext friday. but my boss and his 2 sons have an advantage, as they all race professionally. so i expect to come last. ah well, at least i'll participate. but it will be highly embarrassing to be lapped several times.

yo yo yo. tommy tiernan is one funny fucker. had a great night out saturday. and i had the luxury of a night off on sunday. aaahhh the bliss of pissin about doing nothing on a sunday. fantastic. just found out im working eric clapton this summer. and rumour are abound of up to 5 nights of gareth brooks in the summerat croke park. ya heard it here first!

a whole month without smoking. yes. and i have the worst work month outa the way at 7 oclock tonight. i was in a girl-friends house last night catching up and installing two light fittings for her. so manly. we got bored and so i put on a wig she wore at a hen party last week. so below me with hair.

right. i've no news. its day 28th, and im looking forward to finally having a day off this sunday. i am at vicar street this saturday to see tommy tiernan.



seemingly he has no barriers in the latest stand up show. so i'll keep ye all posted.

i have the sniffles. at the moment i've just sprayed the screen with gooo, from a sneeze that hurts my head.
i'm now working 20 days straight and am 21 days off the ciggies. they re-attached the guys hand from last weeks blog. he is or was a carpenter so dunno how thats going to work out for him. god i feel rough.
