I had two days off this week...
The first one I ended up working 11-12 and 3-8. (got laundry done in between)
Last night there was a party at our house. Finally went to bed at around 2 am.
At 6:30 am I got a phone call. There was a family emergency and I'm needed. And not just for a few hours, for the whole day (like 8am-6pm at least, possibly until 9am depending on whether their uncle and cousins come over for a sleep over tonight...)
I'm sooooooooo exhausted. I really need a nap. But every time I doze off Morgan wakes me with something silly like "I need a glass of water"
Thank god for Mario Kart. It will be my surrogate babysitter while I nap for the next little while. Morgan has been fed, she has water. She knows that I will be useless this afternoon if I can't get at least another hour of nappage.
Hunter is sick. Which makes him lower maintenance than normal - he has no energy to play the "can we do this? how about this? or this?" game. I just have to remember to drug him and I have to try to force him to eat ANYTHING.
Can somebody come over and hold him down while I force feed him some applesauce or something? The kid hasn't eaten anything in 24 hours - I have no idea how he expects to get better.
Sorry to hear that work has just gotten so insane the past few days

I haven't leaked much today, go figure. Overnight would be the real test anyhow. I did go out to the grocer's today... (lifting groceries up 3 flights x 4 trips upstairs) + Chicago summer = 1 sweaty momma! So they did absorb what I imagine to be a lot of boob perspiration. ew. I'm wearing a sports nursing bra today, and they don't show so much. This weekend I anticipate buying a real bra that *gasp* fits, so I'll report back on the contour front laters.
Short story: so far so good; I'd have paid moneys for these.
