Had a pretty good weekend. Got two of my old platoon leaders over to the house and their significant others. Had some beer and just a good time seeing everyone. Plus we got our backyard all surveyed out and now we are going to make it look less like shit. Going to take a bunch of work, but it should be worth it.

I just hope everyone else had a great weekend!

Had a phone interview with SAIC last week for an Electronic Warfare Advisor job in Texas. They were supposed to let me know this week if i was getting a second interview or not. That hasn't happened yet. It'd be nice, i'ld love to get off active duty however i guess i'm locked in. Lame.

Got my tickets for Rammstein in May! SO FUCKING STOKED! no joke my favorite band of all time. They are the reason why I took 6 years of German and got a degree in International Business. Germany is pretty awesome, and luckily i don't have to spend the thousands of dollars to travel there to see my fave band in the world!

Stuck in Yakima Training Center for the month. Our MGS platoons are here to do their OPNET and sign for their trucks. And i got "Hey You"'d into being the OIC on monday. Now i'm up here in the high desert making shit work. fun fun fun! At least it's a good OER bullet.

I think it may be about time to get out of the army. My job is easy, it pays wells, but it just isnt challenging. Sure some people would love to have a job that paid them as much as mine and get to slack as much as i do. I mean yeah, i work about 4-8 hours a day depending on if i actually find something to do. But really i want a job that is a bit more rewarding, one that feels like im working towards something. Its just difficult since i've had jobs like those in the army, but the last 6 months haven't been that.

Trying to find a job with a videogame company, that'd be awesome! but there arent many in the seattle area, and i don't want to move to california. Hmm...i guess we'll just play it by ear.

Sadly I didn't get anything Elk hunting. We had spike tags so naturally the only thing i saw was a gorgeous 6 point bull that i couldn't shoot. Either way, it was a great time away from work.

The wife finally started her job this week. It's going to be nice to be a two income family, even if it is only another $2k a month. At least she can pay her own bills now

Got my tickets for Ozzy in february! I just hope he doesn't die or something before the show. There has been speculation that he's actually just a marionette puppet because he died a few years back.

I am supposed to leave in a few hours to go Elk hunting in eastern oregon. The weather blows, literally. Not looking forward to hunting in the snow / rain / wind. Oh and it's for spike elk only, so even if i see an awesome 8 pointer i can't even take it. LAME!

I went to the Black Diamond Skye show last night in Seattle. It is pretty much one of the coolest shows. Alice in Chains played pretty much every hit song they've had except for two, and then some. Deftones were awesome! I would love to see them as a headliner some day. Chino has so much energy these days. He's lost a lot of weight and really brought it well. Mastodon was alright, i missed a few of their songs but they are solid live.

I'm pretty sure that my friend and I were the only ones that didn't have any weed at the show. Luckily we had enough of a contact high that we wouldn't need our own. Sadly they drug test us, you know, being in the Army and all.

so really i've noticed that since i've come home from iraq, i really get no time to myself. My wife is always around me, always doing things with me. I can't even get on my computer to do work without her wanting me to get off so i can go watch TV with her. I love her to death, but she gives me no space. I've come out and point blank told her i need more room to myself, yet she doesn't really seem to understand. I know from past relationships that if you're not your own person, bad things can happen. Luckily she has drill one weekend a month out of town so i get some down time. its great! I miss SG land!

I had to pick up a soldier from the MP station today for a domestic violence call. When i got there the guy just had this horrible attitude towards the MPs, towards me, basically towards anyone in authority. He felt like he was a victim or something. i dont know what he thought he'd accomplish by being a brazen asshole to everyone. All it did was piss us off and make us not want to help him. Then to boot he was arrested with an airsoft Glock, which looks exactly like a real glock. He's lucky he didnt get shot.

Well i just spent the last week or so in Montana. It was nice to get back to the home state, but i am fucking TIRED of driving. First day was the 10 hours to helena, then the next day was 6 hours to miles city. The day after another 4 hours to yellowstone national park, then the day after another 3 back to helena. Today we finished up with another 10 hours back home. I love Montana, but that much driving sucks balls.

Having said that, it was great to see my friends back home. I wish had more time, but i have to get stuff squared away here before i start work again next week. But i got to see my family, and my best friends so life is good. Definitely glad to be home though. We went 4 wheeling (i only rolled it once!), and drank a ton. Of course, that's what Montana is awesome for!

Now that i'm home again...its awesome. But having said that, it's hard to get used to not having a ton of personal space. My wife is always around and i can't check SG whenever i want! she's super insecure, so it's not nice. I miss my SG land
